And some people are a major cause of the threads falling into this trap unfortunately, you can see YesAmWell/Dark ones biggest suckups by counting the likes put against all his posts throughout the site, one individual must stand out; why is he not being called up for social engineering or ship stirring as well?
I bet you would see the same name popping up whenever there is a TM slagoff or someone saying something bad about a spidey.

Anyway it was funny reading the speaches about free speech from people coming from "that" forum, it made me laugh but mods give him one more chance, lift his ban. Everyone knows what he's like and laughs at him without beleiving him surely?

As someone else said earlier if my DM800SE had a twin tuner I would be happy so this next TM might be the box for me as I was going to buy a TM5402 as well just for the recording features.

it could be said that the makers of the 8 legged based box have done what yesamwell and a few others have been jumping up and down about as well, but, without giving a toss about their existing customers.

everyone knows theres an 'issue' with it connection to cccam based servers, there always has been, and still is, yet they bring out the new 9900 model, and 2 new smaller models, before fixing the software on the first models. but, instead of supporting the early adopters, theyll just be told to buy the new better model

@digi totally agree mate, there are members who had issues with cccam on spider and it should have been addressed.
I also believe that if you are banned for life on DW you should stay banned.
That goes for Kommander/Darkman and any others that are knowingly using another id to post on here.
Why bother banning for life if you let them back with new user names.

a thread going off topic, thats unusual for DW lol.

While i do know of one or two hardware extras that no other receiver has (yet) for the twin, i dont know the full spec. but from seeing the video on the beta model, which has been improved upon, it looks lightning quick

Competition is always good for all.

Wondering though why this part of my post was not answered.

I also believe that if you are banned for life on DW you should stay banned.

ive never banned anyone myself, but i suppose not all forums are run by power crazed mini hitlers. people keep rejoining as DW is unique, most forums, when people get banned, they just move on and find another forum, DW has some form of magnetism that people must like.

this is only my own view, but i suppose that if somebody was to rejoin, and have changed their ways from the original reason they were banned, as long as they dont revert back to whatever got them banned in the first place, then why not get another chance, their profile has to start from scratch

i suppose its down to admin really, and being able to 100% prove that 2 accounts are in fact the same person. as DW doesnt log any IP details, its not an easy thing to prove

This forums sw logs IP's mate 100% for sure.
I know my way around this sw as you know and it's inbuilt.
Theres all sorts of tricks that can be used using admin/mod cp.

IP logging was disabled ages ago for some reason or another that members were shouting about, as i dont ban people, i dont really look in there lol

you will know that IPs can be turned on and off
ours are turned off

we cant help what the software does ;)

my feelings are, everyone is allowed a second chance and we are more than happy to give that person a chance :)

I see it the same was as digi and rat.
If they come back and behave then I leave the new account alone.
Everyone knows the permanent ban doesn't work as there are always ways around it.
On dr linux being bullet proof he has had at least 2 and maybe 3 infractions from myself so he is not bullet proof.

@ricky I still have my tm800 as a backup and havn't sold it.

Calling some one "Hitler" ( because that some, gave some info about the product do not matter which Brand, is out of order and i do believe that is real fact for Ban ) is against of all the rules of the forums..when We all Know that Name "Hitler" will upset many people who has been victims from that second world war.

Also i think your taking this out off context as the word is being used to describe how a certain forum is run and if you dare to ask a question thats not politically correct reguarding the way the forum is run then your toast, we have many members here complain about the harsh treatment they have recieved elsewhere,perhaps its time for you to go and sort that mess out first....

yesamwell, as you yourself have said to me personally, you have never banned anyone from your forum, but, its common knowledge amoungst just about every other forum, that any member who questions something one of the team says, or anyone who proves one of the team to be wrong, or even a newbie who asks a question that may make one of the team look inept at what they do, they get perm banned. the team is not there to help hobbyists, they are there to simply push sales, yet when anything goes wrong, which on average, it does every 12-18 months, the forum is not attached to the shop

you spend so much of your time shouting about your competitors, that there has to be a major reason behind your motive for doing so, i neither know or care what that motive is, but you should get your own house in order, before shouting about others are run.

the 'mini hitler' comment has been taken totally out of context, so i will reword it. some of the team (not all, i do actually get on with some) like to think they have a form of superiority over members, and they like to abuse the power they have within the forum software, they DEMAND respect (which should be earned) and 'rule' over the normal members like a power crazed dictator, blinded by the fact that the 'justice' they dish out actually does more harm to the whole community

the name itself, is just a name, its what people associate with it that does the harm, and ive not got time for people to jump up and down and say iv 'insulted them', if i was to insult someone, itd be a direct, stinging, personal, attack, and itd be based on everything from their race, religion, their dads sexual fetishes, shoe size, hair colour and where they live, in real life, i can insult somebody in a split second, and itll be sarcastic, articulate and nasty, all in one

the thread was a member sharing information that he found on the net, you have so many questions about the hardware, and you have all the answers. like every other member, you are also free to phone TM and ask questions yourself
