if you use torrents or newsgroups mate you can download collections of practically all the games you can get in 1 file!
plenty choice for single games too!

i used to use romulation dont know if its still about, used to have plenty games on there!

got my ackard 2i, micro sdhc card and games downloaded.
when you say 'stick the akiao frimware on it'
by that do you just mean extracting it to the root of the micro sdhc card?

yes m8,
extract to sd card, you should have two items on card plus games.
the two items are:
a folder called _AIO
a file called akmenu.nds
the latest firmware is akaio 1.8.5a
just extract this file to your sd card..

what about the actual guide in the sticky's that states you have to flash the actual card using a dsi under 1.3 or a ds lite?

tried what you said,
extracted akaio to the root of the card.
made a folder for games.
plugged the micro sd card into the acekard 2i
powered on the console but nadda.

when nintendo udated the dsi to 1.4 then 1.4.1, this blocked alot of flashcarts.
on both ocassions a patch was released make the acecards work again.
if your card is new, it should already be compatable.....
1. what console are you using?
a ds or dsi, if dsi which firmware is it running?
2. what symbol (if any) does the card show up as on dsi.
take the sd card out the acecard for the moment.
switch on the consloe and insert/uninsert acecard.
look for a card or game symbol appearing in the bottom screen.
the symbol it should come up as is " alex ryder stormbreaker".
or does it say a diffrent symbol or does it say " no card inserted?"

the acekarcard is actually for a dsi xl 1.4e but i am testing it on a ds lite before i post it off for my neice.
when i insert it into the ds lite, it just says that there is no card inserted :S

the only files in the root of the card were
akmenu4.nds
and a folder called __aio (in lower case)
i also tried a transcend micro shdc card and that wouldnt work either.
I tried an r4i card with this ds lite and i know that works perfectly so it isn't the ds either.
could it be a faulty acekard?

you may have a faulty card m8,
the acecard should show on the ds without a microsd card in it....
the contacts are a bit shitty on acecards.
sometimes putting a small piece of thin card between the pcb and plastic casing can help.
does nothin even show if you unisert/insert with power on?

it works beautifully on the ds lite.
will it work the same on the dsi xl 1.4.1 or do i need to flash the card according to the guide in the stickies posted by napster?

aint it just amazing how a simple thing can make a big diffrence....
you should be ok m8...
if it shows up as " alex ryder stormbreaker" then you are up to date and it will work on any current dslite/dsi console..
if it shows as anything else, let me know...
i will post it to my neice in the morning for her dsi xl 1.4.1.
doesn't actually say alex ryder stormbreaker on the regular ds..
just goes straight to the games list when you tap through the initial safety blah blah blah warning....
