Phone Unlocking Help me unlock Motorola m3688 Please!

Hi,

I've got an old Motorola m3688 that is on the Or*nge network. My regular phone is broken (dropped it down the stairs!), and I want to use my Vod*fone sim card in the 3688. It says enter 'special code' (8 digits)when I turn it on with the Voda sim card in. I assume that this means that it needs to be unlocked.

Can anyone help me?

Well at a guess I would say the phone is asking for the security code with you changing to a different sim card. which if you have the instruction manual it should be set at default so long as you hav'nt changed it.

The other problem might be its not a dual band phone in which case it would only work on orange and ne 2 one. Vodaphone and cellnet also are on the same band. Plus it will be locked on the orange network.

As the phone is no longer available could not find any further info..
