hi

i'm looking for a plugin for my DM800se so i can pause live TV, i have treid permanent time shft and not to keen on that, i would like it more like a sky or virgin box just press pause, and then play when you come back into the room, i'm not looking at pausing it for hours more like 5 to 10 mins max.

so i need a plugin but not sure whats about if any, i know its built in DBuk image but im using Digitalworldz v1 which has nothing built in, so whats about chaps there has to be something.

Re: Pauseing live TV

if its on dm800pro, i wouldnt bother , box just lags , gets very unresponsive and slow, think the hardware of dm800, cant cope with bitrate on hd channels expecielly, the dm800se is flawless, not a single lag very responsive

It is built in to digiworldz image just there isn't a key assigned to enable it, download multiquick button and assign a key to start timeshift, for example I use the red button. Then once it's shifting the play/pause button will work

Lombard im sure your issue on your 800 pro is more down to your drive being too slow to timeshift hd as opposed to the box. Are you time shifting via USB?

Re: Pauseing live TV

Do a quick search on here for pause doesn't work on black dm remote

It seems it is built in as you want it like sky but on the new black remote the button isn't mapped correctly

Theres a keylog file or something on here that Rossi posted that'll enable the play/pause button to start timeshift it's just an XML file of I remember rightly, although personally I'm using latest dbuk image and the pause button works from the off :)

cheers m8 but where do i put it :) and does it work.

It goes in usr/share/enigma2 and it works for me lol

**Make sure you rename the other one in there to keymap.xml.bak, just in case it doesn't work for you ;)**

Set it to go to USB m8 as it will handle timeshift better

recording paths :) same as last timeshift mate

Main menu - setup then recording paths :) you may need to add a new bookmark so you can select USB, I found it a bit confusing but highlight timeshift press ok, then when it wants you to select a bookmark press the bouquet button on the remote then you can add a new one to the USB drive.

So make a folder called timeshift on usb drive something like that or do I just select the USB root

Entirely upto you mate, timeshifting creates a few files so if you want to keep your drive tidy then by all means create a folder if not it makes no difference :)

Do the files clear themselfs after so long or do you have to delete them manually
