Is auto scanning working for everybody? My services is a little out of date (didnt back up my last one!) but it hasnt found any new channels or changes over the past 2 nights?

I have not been changing my image that much lately as they are getting better all the time.. decided to give this one a whirl though and its pretty good.

I really like the new colour scheme.. Channel change is pretty damn fast as well. Picture quality is also very good.

That seems like a helluva lot of transponders!

I think during a slow scan on other images, I have seen it set a maximum scope of 180 transponders. From there, I think only around 30 are actually useable.

Maybe a good idea would be to try reflashing this image to your box and if you have a working bouquet, transfer that across. I don't know the specifics of this image as I have not tried it yet (shame on me) but I do look forward to trying it soon. If it's anything like the neutrino images, it should be in /var/tuxbox/config/zapit and the files of significance are bouquets.xml and services.xml

Normally the amount of transponders is specified by the amount of transponders in the cables.xml

If you do a bruteforce every transponder is checked and therefor the Amount is rather high.

I can`t get bitcontrol to work with either the federation or DWpro. I keep getting the message "The network address could not be used for the operation requested." Streaming works fine for me .on enigma and pacino 2.1 .

Anyone else having the same problems?

DW team. Thanks for this image. It looks very good so far. Its going to take something to get me away from the Federation image I have been using for the past few weeks. Wont have time until tomorrow to give it a thorough test.

This looks like it has everything the federation has and more. I had some issues with settings being saved for the federation image (ie when reset box they were all gone) but no such trouble here.

Not tested recording yet but have covered:-

- Putting my services and bouqets on. All channels immediately available without any new scan having to be carried out.
- Watching avi/ts files via both ts and Movieplayer via VLC works perfectly. All this via wireless network.
- Normal mounting of drive all working fine, im on XP Home.
- Tux weather and maps and webcams all good.
- EPG all working great. Nice colours and ability to switch great.
- Channel changing quick and no blank screen issues.

All this achieved with the images + specials files + the LCD fix.

Other comments:-

I tried Yweb for the first time on this image. I like the whole look of it but very repeatedlty I end up with the connection saying its dropped and although I can still ping to box the yweb feature is just dead. I assume the Yweb software on the Dbox has crashed. I have to reset the dbox for it to work again. It crashes almost every 2 clicks. Having not used the feature much before I am not sure if this is how reliable Yweb is in gereral?

One for a different forum but is there any reason why Tuxnews wouldnt work on this image if I put it on? I pasted some files on there yesterday (again though Id never used TUxnews before) and just got German error message on the ticker when I actived it. Not much on the forums or help file about tuxnews.

Anyway thats a little update on my use of the image. Thanks again DW team, very much appreciated.

for reasons not controlled by the dw team the yweb did not have the testing that normally every part of a dw image has . the yweb on the dw-pro is not stable and you are advised to install the pt-1' s english yweb untill a fix or an update comes avilable .

ok update have managed to get channels but only fta ,am sure i chmod 755to all the files i needed to this is the first time ive had to do all this and am enjoying trying this out but may need a little hint in the right direction to get all up and running they fta channels are looking good and the outdoor feature fun quality on what i have at the moment is far superior to anything ive had info bar works a treat and channel change really quick but not had a chance with anything else

if you have put the special files into the correct folders and chmoded the files to 755

you will also need to do a scan for chanells but to do this the image needs to know your net id and frequncy on wich to scan for transponders.
using the blue button and setlocation input the nearest town to you and save and reboot.

you say you get 300 transponders m8 this must mean that you havent enabled background scan to on as its off by default .

after the scan is complete you will need to switch to a subscription channel and wiat for the box to do its job and get the keys .

this takes time first time .

ive also got 235 channels 42 radio channels and 35 data channels ive set them out in their bouquets but what am saying is i cant get any other channel to show apart from fta i have all the epg for every channel but nothing showing picture
