Bring it on but I'd prefer the AstraZeneca vaccine. Obviously won't be given a choice but here's hoping. My choice has nothing to do with trust or efficacy, just that my choice is British.

They can stick the Pfizer one as they aren't giving the second dose (when they should) and there have been reports of side effects for some including death for some elderly recipients.
I'd take the AstraZeneca vaccine or the Moderna vaccine tomorrow given the chance.

It seems that those few very elderly people who sadly died after getting the vaccine were already suffering from serious pre existing conditions and could have died from them at any time and the vaccine was just to give them a chance of surviving the virus if they got it but they died of their pre existing conditions totally unrelated to having had the vaccine.
There had been 1.3 million people injected with the Pfizer vaccine by January 5th in the UK and not one reported death from it.
The only thing that would worry me about having that one over the Astra Zeneca one would be wondering if they had transported it and stored it correctly before I was injected with it due to the low temperature and careful handling it requires compared to the other one as well as Pfizer temporarily reducing production of it while they redesign their factory that makes it in Belgium.
All about to stop the panic the new one will kill more guys

We can get a flue jab and hope it's the 3 top ones to build up a bit Immunity ect
Think this will be here for a few years or ever but not kill as many well fingers crossed

Agree, for those thinking vaccine is the answer they better think again. I've been harking on about viruses for years and how it will cull the human race. Its basic evolution and to think were outside this planets ecosystem will be our downfall.
We couldn't afford as a nation to be prepared for what were going through but unless someone comes up with a bomb proof vaccine and I mean bomb proof then we will have to learn to live with it with lots of early deaths on the cards for as long as.
I feel so sorry for the young ones of today who will spend the foreseeable future under restrictions. Celebrations, travelling Uni, all ruined. We will have generation after generation brought up on keeping apart the exact opposite of what we have been trying to achieve for 1000's of years, social integration.
This ain't the fault of Government's although conspiracy theorist would like to think you to think so but doesn't really matter were or who it came from what matters is its here and its here to stay for many more years to come.
These huge pharmaceutical companies have been working on this new type of vaccine for 10-15 years. It isn't something cooked up last Christmas so those who are harking on about why suddenly a vaccine ??? It was always there but untightening the restriction belt just meant no 10 years of trials first.
Now some will say "Thats dangerous" it might be but unless you have a Batman type plan under your cloak that's better then we have to hope for the best and take what vaccines are on offer.
Covid has meant a huge excelleration in warpspeed timescales when it comes to the cooperation in swapping data. What took months is now taking hours.
Tbh, we have no choice other than a vaccine washing hands and keeping apart will cause more deaths than Covid and more world poverty.
They need data by the bucket load. And now there's this new variant. I'm not shocked Christ flu can change twice even 3 times in a year.
We have to belief that the pharmaceutical bodies will eventually beat this we have no choice or getting to live past 75 might become like 5 and a bonus ball ticket.

As far as vaccines goes Aligators and Crocodiles are some of the longest living beings on our planet and they live in some of the most toxic places on earth but survive and flourish.
Me ? the answer to vaccines lies within creatures like this. Then we have the jungle ecosystems of the world. This is we're viruses originate from. We are moving into areas with deforestation and disturbing ecosystems and unleashing viruses that we should never come face to face with Papa New Guinea been the worse.
But were these virus live in these jungles around the world theres an anti body to balance the system or jungles would have sense to be millions of years ago.
I personally think science will prevail. It will cost lives finding a cure but it will prevail. And to be truthful we have no choice

My solution would be easy, give a vaccination card scanable to everyone. When you get vaccinated your details are updated.
If you want to travel abroad, on holiday go a pub or restaurant, gym, any sporting event, music concert, large shopping centres anywhere were people gather you get your photo ID card scanned and you in , if not your out.
Fool proof no but,
Watch them start to queue round the block the next day sleeve rolled up in prep.
Were a nation of "Whats init for me" the days of the likes of the 2nd World War sticking together help each other and leave your door open have well and truly gone.

I recently had the Pfizer vaccine because due to the snow lots of over 80’s did not turn up for their appointment where my wife works. They told the staff to ask any family members to turn and they could be vaccinated, so I did. The only side affects I had where and achy arm and a dull headache. My wife had the same affects.

One of the reasons why its going to be here with us for a long while is every shop has signs up wear a mask covering and Sanitize hands on entering premises.
The amount of Blind people and children walking into shop and not using Hand Sanitizer.
Why cant parents not teach Health and Safety to their kids as i can see whole family getting it and might be too late to get the jab.

Its not going away, Its here now forever, we just have to live with it from now on
Problem with this is even when you have had the Vaccine you may still pass it on to others there is not enough data to say you wont, and yeah passing it on to another vaccinated person in your theory should not trouble them but it will still get around to those not vaccinated . These could be people not yet eligible to have it.

i think you may still be able to pass it on but as your body starts to fight it off it should make you less contagious and as there is already about 10% of the uk population done this should help build up heard imunity. well thats what i am hoping for

Getting my vaccine soon, but worried about adverse affects. Anyone had any experiences of this and which vaccine was it (not that i'd have the choice either way lol)?
I know a few people who have been violently sick after their vaccine - and even ending up in hospital from it. Is this a known thing?
Any advice welcome, although i know this is all for the greater good of humanity long term
