H2H Movie channels audio stream NAR on

I was not intending to create a big issue. Just stated what I had learned from the experience.

When I developed my fix it was given to the 'next person up' to pass on etc.

I was told they would be uploading it to github and I was asked NOT to post it here. I thought this a little odd but was given all sorts of bs excuses like 'it would confuse people'.

We were sat waiting on it for some time, long before the patch on the pli site was posted where athoik claimed to have 'caught the flag'. erm I think I caught it long time ago back on page 17. whatever the hold up with the people 'sitting' was, it allowed athoik to post his version of the patch and he was able to bypass the enforced roadblock I was hitting. Only once his patch was released was my patch submitted by the people above. Politics? Seems to me like somebody in the chain wanted the fix to come from a different direction...

I could have solved this on the 11th when it happened. I waited but after several days not only had things not progressed beyond PID hacked, but had deteriorated to the point of hacks in ABM. The amount of time spent on that was probably more than it took me to understand the issue AND make the patch combined. Clearly there was a distinct lack of relevant skills to solve this issue. Now I know you could argue that 'these people are not in the UK' etc. That's all meaningless as capture was easily available. I personally did not need anything beyond that, and the basic knowledge I had. I mistakenly thought the effort would be appreciated and somebody will the relevant skills and knowledge to help out on this and possibly future issues would be welcomed. Instead once the fix was handed over things went very frosty - and that wasn't just the British weather!

I could have no posted the technical explanation but I wanted the information to go to the masses to help everyone, and hopefully motivate some people to look into issues like this, by showing how I got to my solution, rather than just delivering a premade instant made fix with no explanation. I failed in every respect.

Are LraiZer or Athoik patch based on @hackmax research/findings which was back on Thursday?
No.

For Athoik/Huevos, also looked at the readings. E2 with extra debug was also created to confirm the issue.

LraiZer says the following on another forum:
To help you work out how i made my fix, I first spent over 15 years looking at dvb cable / satellite c++ neutrino / enigma / enigma2 code and studying the dvb stream data. The first step i took in learning how to create this patch started many many years ago by first putting my trusty old dbox2 Nokia 2x chip dvb-c STB into debug mode, building and patching the tuxbox-cvs to create my own images. Years later i starting building my own images and patching the code for neutrino on my dm500s and then E2 code on my dm800se. The past few years i have drifted off STB image creation stuff and mainly only continue to keep an eye on what is going on with the latest changes in the dvb stream data.

As i hope you can now understand, my patch has not come all of sudden as you suggest, My patch has taken well over 10,000+ hours of learning and looking at this stuff as a hobby. If Hackmax feels aggrieved that others also know how to look at this and fix this issue, then i apologise for all the knowledge learned over these years. I simply saw there was an issue, i looked where the issue was likely to be, then i traced the code back to where it was happening and where it could best be fixed and i fixed it. I hope this helps you understand how and why there are suddenly so many fixes, as there are also many developers with the knowledge to do this stuff.

I hope Hackmax does continue to provide E2 support, as any help and knowledge is most welcome and thanked, at least by myself. My patch was not used either, but i don't see why that should stop me from submitting future patches for E2 as Hackmax is suggesting. Unless you are in an E2 team and coordinate tasks, of which i am not, sometimes others will be working on the same coding issues as you and they may come up with a better or simpler solution. Don't get mad, take on board why there code was better or simpler and keep learning why.

His PMs with me and exchange of stream recording details started on 11/11. So the suggestion that nobody started looking at those is not correct.

Neither LraiZer, Athoik or Huevos have gone out to say they are the ones who fixed it. Some of them are not even in the country so do it only for the sake of the E2 community.

Who asked you not to post anything please?

I don't give aggrieved at all. I actually have never said anyone elses fix was based on my work or that others could not do it. My issue was the fact that my fix was 'held up' with bs excuses which did not apply to others in the inner circle.

I actually WANT other people to know how to fix these issues - that's why I posted a breakdown of the issue first to give people a chance to understand a look at the problem. I'm all for more people been able to do this stuff. It's not really Voodoo. I revealed my methods, and tools.

So I gave a 'Like' to a liar.
hackmax come on mate, stop stealing other people's work :)

Ok you can have your like back.

Mate the effort you put in and the in depth view of what was happening and how to fix the issue was appreciated by all, your clearly a bloke with in depth knowledge and i salute you for that.

All on here just feel you deserve some credit for your work and you should be getting that, anyone asking you not to post the information clearly had another motive. The satellite forums should be all about sharing information with the community and you did that, some others probably were thinking about loss of equipment sales and maybe wanted to have the jump on others patching their images.

Anyway posts such as yours show true community spirit.

Nice one mate.

I agree with @Ferret completely.

At the end of the day, it's thanks to indepth knowledge that you and likes of LraiZer and anyone else have and share with satellite/cable community that allows us to continue.

@hackmax maybe you should PM @Abu Baniaz the details you say where you were asked not to post this openly.

Open ATV 6.1 19/11/17 nightly build
zgemma h5.2tc
MGcam
On quick inspection all working with audio and no narrator

Think I'll wait for the vix image with the fix, so all is working with the new changes that will be implemented in the new images and can mgcamd be used again

Open ATV 6.1 has fix applied mate and working with MGCam :)

Can't get mgcam working on mine, same box and image. CCcam and Oscam ok.
Had this trouble before and tried a different config file supplied by jfish which worked straight away. Not this time  Am sorting my epg and then back on the case.

Same here Rat. I've no real experience with mgcam as I'm a novice to cable c/s and previously always used CCcam. Can't understand why the config from jfish won't clear the channels this time when it cured all my woes last time. Nothing has really changed in that short time besides the descriptor saga which can't be causing my problem. Tried the one you posted as well @jfish but no joy, got that many files now I don't know where the hell I am, lol.
May try reflashing with image from different source (straw clutcher) :) watching the golf presentations first
