Should claimants be paid vouchers to stop spending on 'vices'?

You are assuming everyone on benefits is a cheat, bad error of judgement mate.
The rich are just the same, footballers on 200,000 per week? what the hell do they need that much money for just for kicking a ball?. Ken Dodd, and other people fiddling tax why would you want to fiddle it if you are loaded?. So you see mate it works both ways and its all down to this Government giving money away to other Countries and not looking after this one first, and there silly ideas on how to screw the UK.

how much would it cost to manufacture and maintain what? ... 3million chip and pin cards?

how would it work?
how could you load money onto the card?
what about people that are in and out of work?
be happy to create a new card each time they become unemployed?
why would shops be interested in them if they could only be used for certain products?

what about about people on low wages?
would they get a "gold" card that could buy more stuff with lol?

or maybe we could turn its on its head,
make everyone take a medical, the fat ones don't get to buy fatty foods?
or maybe rations books would be a better option lol

not everybody is a cheat....
what about the genuine people?

it's no fun being unemployed, i know from recent experience....
having to claim at all is a degrading experience....

There will be some reason behind it, probably to ensure the hoardes or Romanians and Bulgarians that are poised to descend on us (in 2014 due to relaxed laws, thank you Tony Blair) don't miss out on the benefits.

they dont need em miggy, they sell a couple of big issue.claim low wages then bobs your uncle

Its funny how all these feckers know all the loopholes over here mate. Yet genuine people over here get fook all.

Wow! Turn me back for a few hours and it all goes wild!!!

"This Government" ? All Governments surely? Labour wanted to re-engineer society, Lib-Dem would like an infinite supply of money so they can make everything 'cool' for the entire planet, on their own ffs, Tories revolve around profit.

Which party would you support?

It's all sort of interconnected :).

UKIP since you ask :).

Labour still do dream of their socialist/communist EUSSR utopia. A good reason why Marxistband shold never get in but he will. I'm sure part of their Marxist ideals is to make the current welfare system collapse so it can be rebuilt in a more pure socialist form. "Oh, look! it's all suddenly stopped working!" Aye, probably something to do with the ten million extra people in a decade.

Agree with Glib Dems sentiment.

There aren't any Tories any more and Cameron is a Europhile. He won't give up the nice windfarm subsidies pops-in-law gets.

“Of course money is important and will always play a part in future measurements of poverty.” Ian Duncan Smith (Tory)

I can find Labour and LibDem quotes if you wish?

The World is full of dipshits ;)

On the other hand, Eugenics is likely to gain more favour over time...
