Ok let me state what I said on the other post I am a teacher and we have the same thing a teddy that the school bought and the children said what names they liked and it was voted on .Its the childs choice and there must have been more than one child that voted for it .If a child wanted to call a teddy Jesus in my class then we would discuss it and if thats what they wanted its what the teddy would be called . I mean ok I wouldnt let them call it cock but jesus joseph mary King Tut who cares its what the children want .Its a bloody name not an insult

thats fine cause all those are suitable , but different country, different rulings, she went there, had to abide by them and didnt. maybe she wasnt aware hence she got let off with 15 days.

Let off so its ok for a teddy to be called Jesus but not Muhammad

so what about when the teddy went home the parents didnt say anything about the name I am at a loss at some religions and beliefs.

no not really, im just telling the truth. muslims themselves admit that what is what muhammad has done. even their islamic sources back it up.

I am glad you called this a debate unless you can discuss things openly then there will always be misunderstandings .

in our religion you are not allowed to portray the prophet in any way. you might be alright doing so in a non muslim country but no way you will get away with it in a muslim country. maybe she wasnt aware of this and therefore got a light punishment! that was the origional point i was trying to get across!

jesus is also a prophet in Islam and we also regard him highly. so we dont take light to any offence at hime either!
 
Fortunately I do not subscribe to any religion.

I say fortunately, because I live my life as I see fit, and I'm quite happy with my lot.

IMHO, anyone who lives their lives in fear of being sent to hell, or that something bad is going to happen to them if they don't follow something that is written in a book is missing out on a hella lotta good stuff.

My philosophy is...treat others as you would like to be treated yourself.

If push comes to shove, I would say I try to lead a Christian lifestyle.
That is not going as far as saying I believe in any sort of deity, but I respect life.

Religious topics is, and always wil be a minefield.

When my time is up & it's time to lower me into the cold hard ground, I'd rather my headstone said - "Here lies Stevie...he was a good guy", rather than "Here lies Stevie, he was a devout whatever".

Anyway, enough rattling on...I reserve the right to delete my posts when I sober up in the morning. :)

lol, yes very well said mate im quite similar but the hella lotta good stuff im missin out on is "in my beliefs" promised in the hereafter!

also treat others as you would like to be treated yourself!! if only everyone practised that!
