I have an A86 - I am trying to unlock it and am getting no where.

I am quite new to this so be gentle!

I have the Mikedata script, WinEx 5.42, a Cyclone glitcher, system running Windows 2000 and Sidewinder.

When trying to run the script, I keep getting a message 'Card didn't reset, press the reset button before running script' and then it goes on to say 'Script error on line 172 etc'.

I have been trying for two days now to get this up and running. I have also tried running the Sidewinder application but this just flashes up and then disappears. The card is firmly in and the serial cable is connected correctly.

What am I doing wrong? Could it be that I the script or operating system is not compatible?

Please help, I am beginning to wonder how far the computer will travel if it goes out of the window!

use this flash anthe script m8

Just tried this and exactly thye same thing happens...

...'Timeout reading card data - script error on line 428.

The flash is loaded up oaky as it didn'y come back with any errors.

What else can I try?

Do I have to set it a certain way?

Have now manged to get a screen loading Modus flash which is okay'd - but the is going onto say:

Script error on 477
SC Getbyte: request byte exceeds last read request

Any ideas?

Have just tried the P47 flash and script and am still getting the message:

Timeout reading card data

Script error on 388
SC Getbyte: request byte exceeds last read request

I think that I must have something set up wrong...

...Any ideas?

check your pot setting in your looper, which u can adjust while the script is running. set it to 19-20.

Pot settings - Where would this be? I am using a Red Cyclone.

It is already set in the middle...

...Do I have to try and turn it a smal bit, run script and see if it works?..

...I have already unlocked a card with the Pot setting in this position.

Do you think that my card is f**ked?

When I read it in Nagra, it does show ATR, but doesn't ready anything else.

Have you another card to play with, if so bung it in and start the glitch, then adjust the pot settings to give a vcc of 19 to 1A-ish.

Hopefully the card isn't donald ducked, have you tried reading it with xncs/rom studio?

This is what it says when reading card in Nagra - Also where it says 'SetIFS Failed' this does the same on the unlocked card, and I have to get the information from Getbox -= Again, I think that I have something set up wrong when wanting to read a card:

Opening of COM2 was successful
ATR String: 3F FF 95 00 FF 91 81 71 A0 47 00 44 4E 41 53 50
30 31 30 20 52 65 76 41 38 36 44
ROM Revision: 010
EEPROM Revision: RevA86
SetIFS failed
Using BD3 Key: 4E 69 70 50 45 72 20 49 73 20 61 20 62 75 54 74
Reading ROM10 failed
Closing of COM2 was successful
