i`m more into the cable scene,but my question is this if a buy a dreambox500s and fit it up with the normal sky dish i have its a communal dish we got on this row of flats will i be able to pick up any good channels .moe than the d/b 500c that ive got??

No.

You'll just get FTA stuff unless you use an official subscribed Sky card, you can however cardshare over the internet on the DM500, but we can't discuss that.
