Need some advice. I have recently cancelled my Sky subscription and got a DM800SE clone - I have four cables coming out behind my TV from the Sky dish. Can I leave the Sky HD box connected and just connect the DM to the other two free cables, thus having a different HDMI input for each box into the TV? That means I can use DM but still have sky+ recording of the freeview channels on sky box...Thanks

sly will switch off the sky+ features....

once the sky sub ends the sky box will not be able to record anything,it will show fta channels but not record them, you need a valid sky+ sub for that.

OK didn't realise that - thanks. Will I still be able to run sky freeview and dreambox off the one dish?

Cool - thanks folks. New to all this stuff but looking forward to taking off my training wheels v soon! :)

You know you can reacord onto the DM800SE. It takes a 2.5 sata drive.

Flog the SKY+ and use money to buy a HDD or rip out the HDD and put into an enclosure. It's a 3.5 sata drive.
