Pacino V2.0

Hi all,

Further to my last post I have found that the auto scanning works far better ( for me anyway ) if I turn off the fast scan and then save the settings and reboot. So if you do a fast scan first and then turn fast scan off ( save settings and reboot ) I find that after a couple of minutes it finds anything which the initial fast scan missed.

Something else slightly odd which I noticed was that if you mute the sound ( on the Dbox ) and then change channels then the sound comes back on ( even though the mute symbol is still displaying in the top right corner of the screen ). I don’t know if this is just me or if it happens to anyone else. It’s not really a big deal anyway.

Cheers.

only managed to flash this about an hr ago but even with the epg problem this is $h!t hot, not tried fast scan yet but hey i've got my service files how i want them for now so i'll wait, thought it would be hard to surpass v1 but everyone involved deserves a big pat on the back for this 1

much appreciated

Excellent image works fine, except for epg ( red,red etc) prob. love the games too!!!

VLCRape does not work with this image. It changes channel then crashes the box. Very good image tho

very nice image, work fine just one problem with fast scan it doesnt let me pick up frontrow, so any 1 near ilford who got all chanel including front row can you upload ur service file plz

issues with the pacino v2 on my sagem 1X box

Firstly, special thanks to gav & cydine for the image, appreciate all the effort you guys put in it.

just flashed the pacino v2 1x on my sagem box, have upgraded from pacino 1. after sorting out the scannign issue, was able to get a list of transponders(over 30) & over 200 channels too. Now, when i browse any of the channels all i get is the 'waiting for time'. the box was working fine with pacino v1, so i am sure i have messed up some settings on v2.

can anyone point me to a possible solution please...

as per the writeup by gav, i have set "enx watchdog to ON"

don't know how to set the following from gav's writeup, could someone please help:

- driver selection " For sagem press ok on the Nokia avia500 is on"
- 0014 good for recording and for sagem boxes
- Sagem eNX TDP Trace to On

any pointers would be greatly appreciated...

thanks.

OK. Everyone PLEASE read the first post in this thread. Most of the answers are there and we don't want a million posts about 'how do I find my network id'.

Nobody should be using slow scan any more. It isn't necessary and is only there as a very last resort. Find your netid and frequency from the link in the first post in this thread.
If the fast scan isn't picking up some channels, could you give me examples of what channels it's not picking up so I can fix it?

I know it doesn't pick up front row atm but that's coming

to do:

Fix event list crashing problem.
Improve slow scan - I think it can be made faster.
Small fixes to the autoscan.
Front row scanning on the fast scan.

Anything else?

thats sounds great cydine i have todays cvs built image and all working know just need to finallise a few things and if you want pm with it let me know

might help with the fix with the latest cvs which is todays

cheers

Gav if it's not too much trouble can you build the image with my fixed movieplayer source?

I've pm'd you the link to the file, it's a modded version of the latest source from tuxbox.

Thanks.

gav i dont wanna take the piss here but is recording working in ur new source eh?. I dont really care but its handy sometimes ) i have a dvd recorder anyways but sometimes i record to pc and it was being ghei when i tried it last night i dunno if it was me or teh image a few people said they had probs with the recording as well. ;). Also when i change u codes to anything other than what its set at now it always goes to built in i cant seem to change it afterwards? Built in stays yellowed out hehe. Anys enough of he moaning great image ill look forwarwd to one with the bugs ironed out if it possible ;@) Thanks for ur hard work. EPG menu problem is fixed as is the yweb channel changing problem.

Dunno about the recording though as I can't test it.

Recording and playback is working fine for me on the first released image. Using direct to file configuration.

My first ever post , Im not a newbie, but i just like to view this forum, im an active member of another forum -

First of all I'd like to say this is a great image, and im sure everyone appreciates the work that has been put into it, I've been playing around with it for a few hours and ive found some bugs which may or may not be fixable

(1) epg problem (known)
(2)bouquet editing problem -- when going into service, bouquet editor, clicking on say -->tv and then accidently pressing ok instead of "green" for add, locks the box up and then it crashes and you need to restart
(3) adding parental lock on channels, also causes it to crash, can't remember what combination of keys, had enough so i just hid the porn channels in the end
(4) trying to switch off box completely is a problem, maybe im not pressing the off key correctly, does go into standby.
(5) full scan, i dont know what was going on here, the transponders were not in any particular order, kept jumping about from 4000000 then to 20000, then to 30000 and so on, (cant remember how many zero's, but you know what i mean. just put in my old services and favs file
(6) box crashes on liveview via the yweb interface, could be a computer problem at my end
(7) not a bug, but the old pacino boot up screen is still there

the above may not apply to everyone but thats what i've found, can someone check out the above and report back, apologise if these points have already been convered

once again, a great image

edit: using sagem 1x flash

glad to here that its sorted the recording must be down to the saa7126.o so i have just sorted that one out

cydine do you want the todays cvs image to add it to as its completed on this side now m8

cheers

Gav, we need to keep it based on the same image as the original.

It's cos the cvs I'm working with has the same date as the original image 9-2-06.

If you want to update to the latest cvs then I'll have to recompile everything.
