New Spiderbox - What are thoughts on this box?

i baught it to add my own clines i was let down they say they sorted it called me a lier i went on cs forum there loads people having same problem even threds on there guys asking for servers that geared up for spiderbox lol
my m8 cs server think its ccam 2.1.2 my spiderbox disconnects from clines you have to reconnect it
i dont know bout the free gift ive never used mine at all
ive now got my spiderbox up for sale in buying/trading section on this forum

LOL who do you think is selling and making it? Whatever you do dont go on the forum and complain though as you will be banned. Like a previous poster said they wont accept any issues as the fault of the box. Once the gift goes Ill get rid of mine and if its as bad as it has been during the footie Ill be selling it sooner!

sometimes its fine and sometimes it isnt. I get frustrated because its generally when I want to watch something that it misbehaves. Im starting to think that this is due to server load as everyone else wans to watch at the same times for footie, porn films etc.

If you go back to very early in this thread, i posted that itd probably be good at first, then as more people get them, the server will start to overload and more problems will arise, people will be told its their connections, and get banned (from ***** and the spiderbox forum) for complaining about it

which is whats happened

now with the IPTV spiderbox on the way, support will probably tail off for the new receiver, which will be good untill too many people own one, then the circle starts again

people who have been in the hobby and part of online forums for years have seen it all before, and quite a lot have been caught out by these 'offers' at one point or another, i know i have in the past, and its always the same reason when a complaint arises, its all down to the manufacturer / broadcaster and nothing to do with *****

Thats's correct.

I have to reboot mine every day. If I leave it on on a gift channel sometimes it will work trough the night (appart from the occasional freeze), sometimes not. But if I don't leave it on a gift channel then it's only a matter of minutes or hours before a reboot is needed.

Totally unreliable if you wan't to record something from those channels.

No working TV guide either. I dont generally even get now and next. After dreambox and dbox this box is a let down.

Now and next works 100%
All boxes only have now and next unless linux with plugins.
Also go to Digitalb on 16e this provider supplies 24hr epg, most don't.
It's not unique to Spider and non linux boxes ie Technomates/starsat etc.

I'd only just got the hang of the technomate 1500 before it became useless, given my serious lack of knowledge in this field have decided to swerve buying the spiderbox. Sounds like too much aggro.

How on earth can I view some or all of these packages reliably and cheaply then:

can***** 19e
digital+ astra 19e
digit alb 16e
viasat 5e
canal digital 1w
digital+ hispa 30w

If that question is for another place I apologise.

The answer is still a spiderbox, you may just need to pay for access to those packages ~choose a different server rather than the free gift one.
If you invest more money you could go for an Eagle or dream clone and add a server to get what you want, but this could certainly be additional 'aggro' as there will be lots to learn.

How would I choose a server that opens up those packages then? Would I need a different server per package or one server fit all?

that depends on the server. if you can get a good server that has access to many cards then jobs a goodun, one server would fit all, its a case of what the server has access is what you have access to.

if you have problen with gift freezing then load patch 5 June 2010 factory reset
then set up your box from scrach

for C line still you will get disconnet some time i have best C line from a freind never disconnet in my DM but it freez and disconnet in my spider some times
