iX 1.5 News

I can't see any (many?) obvious advantages over 1.4 with checking out iso's over abgx?

Would like to know if you think any are worth upgrading for?

It is for the lite-on drive and the newer firmware revision of benQs

It also address issues with cross-spoofing.

It is not needed for sammys, hitachis or even early benQs

[03:42] <c4eva> flashing liteon is easy, all software, all this has already been done!
#
[03:43] <c4eva> the team is working on the fw, patience!
#
[03:47] <c4eva> The team has several liteon dumps and flash back to any liteon perfectly! Patience! :)

;)

Flashing LiteOn is a piece of piss DosFlash 1.6 does it fine.

I see the the elusive 6039 has made an appearance......Wonder where they got one from :p

Does this mean we can get the keys without having to use the max3232
with dosflash 1.6 ?

Im not quite sure, i have a feeling that we will still need to read the key from our drives and inject it into the iX 1.5 C4eva releases and then flash the drive with dosflash.

But im just speculating.

To flash, you simply erase with LiteOn_erase then flash with DF1.6

You cant flash anything purposeful.....but its easy to flash.

Like you do with BenQ I imgine 'when' possible, you dump, patch, erase, flash

No, my wording was quite relevant.

Flashing an erased LiteOn is easy, DF 1.6 suports the chips used.

so only an erased liteon can be flashed with DF 1.6

Flashing support for DF 1.6 (not new news..)

how about flashing your liteon with benq firmware spoofed to liteon ?
i dont see a problem as they are alike.

Completely different.

Same drive tray, same manufacturer thats about it.

same lense, same tray, same mechanism's.
i would say just the main board, its more like a new hardware revision of the BenQ
Oh and now it flashes with same dos flasher ???

IE: like on modems different revisions.
as you can see on another forum they changed mainboard and motor only from a benq to a liteon and its working 100% !

manufacturers change hardware in the hope to stop hacks. sometimes it works for a while and other times they help us even more .........

Dosflash flashes many mtk based chipsets, run it in auto mode with some non 360 drives connected, see how many it will try to flash to, 1.6 would try to flash a LiteOn before we knew anything about it, but return 0x52 status, as did the 6039 I had.

You do know Dosflash isnt just for 360's?

ive i missed something thought the lite-on couldnt be flashed thought you extracted the key then spoofed another drive ????

it can be erased it can be flashed you just can't do a full dump of firmware at the moment but things do seem to be looking up

It can be flashed, not with anything purposeful....

If its erased, its not locked, then can be written to, this is old news...

Its having something worth flashing thats the problem ;)
