Lol i think your missing the point - I was 20 once and i got the arse ripped out of me all through those years already.

I have been driving all my adult life and have yet to have a claim that was my fault !!! I have never driven without insurace in all that time so i guess they have had enough cash out of me in all that time to pay a very handsome deposit on a reasonable home. The truth is most insurance premiums are a scam, the woffle about uninsured drivers as if 10% of the population are without insurance so we have to protect ourselves - these days an uninsured driver is identified automatically by the authorities ffs. Yet we are still paying through the nose and the insurance companies have the ultimate leverage "the law say we have to have it", cars are not getting more expensive, repairs are cheaper now given the economy so why in gods name is it ok to increase a premium by 20% while the only changes are an extra claim free year... Its about time state insurance was made available to force these fookers to limit there greediness.

As i mentioned before mate - they are getting ready to recoup some of there non motoring insurance losses from us.. Try that Hastings insurance i have used.. also "beatthatqoute.com" and get ready for some unpleasant surprises with all mainstream insurers.
The AA actually matched my privilege qoute < fookin unheard of since they have always been at least 25% more than privilege!!

tried them before settling on GREENBEE cheapest byfar and better cover adrian flux is just another agency like greenbee but greenbee is a john lewis partnership

I would be very insterested to hear the sort of qoutes others are getting compared to last years qoutes. Last year it was not even a problem to get very good prices - this year it is not at all easy.

A little update to the thread, for roadside assistance and recovery visit "rescuemycar.com"

A specialist insurer for breakdown cover using a network of local dealers. claiming an average 40mins response time, 1 hour roadside repair if not repairable then recover to any uk destination car and passengers.

Rather shockingly less than £30.00 !!!!!!! You ring them they sort your roadside problem out
by dispatching services to you, this is not some half ass recover the cost of your breakdown after the fact turnout.

these car services co's insurance and breakdown really are taking us all for a ride. My total savings on this affair have now exceeded £160.00 and i have been able to reduce my excess from £250.00 to only £100.00 and now have free glass repair (first time ever) and reduced glass replacement excess @£60 from £75

£160 doesn't sound like a right lot BUT if we take it as a percentage it is a staggering 30%: party :

no i totally agree lol they are fookers! it was just a wee joke lol! What i usually do is try money super market and take the top three phone them and get them fighting agients each other to make it cheeper lol

try nfu mutual... my renewal as a named driver with my mum came to £1900 with norwich union. nfu with also my dad on the policy £770 which included breakdown cover....
