Im just getting scanned failed with these settings and i have tried both 6887 and 6952 in fife which should use edinburgh?

You could give the OpenAtv image a try. You may like what you find in ABM providers.

Either net id or frequencies are wrong or you have a weak signal or no signal at all, you need a minimum of 30db to get a sniff of the channels and 40db to be reliable.

Openpli is fine for scanning with.

were would I get openatv from cant see it in downloads, alsodo i just back up the image im using te ame way as I would back up the vu+ through usb

Try to use the manual scan and configure your tuner first, I find cable scan quite flaky although if you look, it might say scan failed but go into your bouquets and then sats, you might have a sat called cable now with the services in there. Cable scan always says failed for me even though it pulls in most things.

it takes ages to scan, wonder if thats down to me not having cables.xml.....how do u know the frequency lad?

i have everything seem to have worked, even the autobouqets but i only have bbc1-bbc4 clearing, i dont even get itv2 to clear?

Is your net id in auto bouquets c2 file
Line 9 net id think you need to change that
