dreambox 500-s setup

hi all i have a 500c for my cable,

i have been thinking of changing to sky. so i will need a 500-s

but how does is work?

do i need to get a satelite image?

i heard somewhere that u still need to put a sky card in it?????

what image is on the 500? once you have one install, scan astra, put scam cam on, put your card in and it should work.

the majority of images out are for satellite m8 but modified for cable.

i would start afresh with a new image such as gemini 3.40 available from here hook it upto network and install the camds from the blue button and scan satellites and all should be well
