Does Protien Powder Go Off?

I want to gain a bit of weight as I lost about a stone about 18 months ago when ill. I found my last big tub of weight gain powder the other day and though I'd start making it for work but noticed that it has an expiry date on the bottom..

Being powder I didnt think it would go off? Its about 6 months out of date should I just bin it??

its should be fine as long as it didnt get hard or anything from water or heat,
if you can afford it throw it away and buy new one to be on save side but up to you

Thanks mate. its still as it was when I got it, Its not gone hard or clumpy or anything.. If I can still use it I will as I dont wanna be buying more if poss..
