I know that at the very start of this long drawn out thread regards BBC channels etc opening at 27.5W our comrade xxxxxx posted exactly 'how' to load them in manually - plus a list of PIDs to enter - so with this in mind has anyone got the LATEST PIDs etc for these new BBC HD channels so we can manually set up them up as at the very start of this thread?

Yes my keys are working fine - but its the PIDs for BBC HD3 & 4, CBeebies HD, CBBC HD and BBC News HD I'm looking for - maybe in a 'text' file please? As for BBC Sports HD, that hasnt scanned in at all for me on my TM5402HD M2 on patch 109P!:xmas:

BBC 3HD/CBBC HD is VPID 7001, APID 7002, PPID 7001, H264, MPEG 4.

BBC 4HD/CBeebies HD and BBC News HD are not currently available on 27.5W.

Cheers mate - lets hope the remainder appear very soon too then eh?

(PS: I did try PIDs off 28E but they are different!!)

See post #1 onwards mate - its all there by xxxxxx - plus latest HD channels in last posts!

Sorry for the newbie question, but ¿does this work on all technomate receivers? ¿and on other makes also?

Thanks for that.
I live in Spain and need to change my system as we´re about to lose most of the channels when they change over to the new satellite.
Perhaps somebody help me answering some questions, because I´ve got no idea how well this system works.
Can you always see the channels?
Do you have to change the keys now and again?
and if so, with what frequency does it happen?
and how long does it take for the new keys to come out?

Thanks a lot!!

You need biss keys.
A TM5402 is best imo.
Keys change every few months and take a day or so to be released again.
This is if it stays in biss and not tandberg.
If it goes tandberg encryption then all is lost.

Thanks a lot, seems like quite a good option.
I suppose firmware change is needed before putting the keys in.
Are the keys shared here?
Do the APID and VPID change?

Thanks a lot manic01!!!!

I too live in Spain and set up the 27.5ºW frequencies with the help of this thread. To receive the "mini-Freesat" channels you either have to reposition your dish to receive 27.5ºW or have a motor installed (my own solution), which would give you loads of satellites. However, choosing the right receiver is crucial, given the frequency symbol rate of 40,100. I too have the Technomate 5402 HD M2 and the channels come in fine with the appropriate biss key. Another receiver that can handle that symbol rate is the Blade Media BM 7000s. There are a few others and you should be able to get one shipped to Spain for about €150.

Good luck!

I´ve heard that a 80cmts dish is enough to get the signal here.
Thanks Jacobo40!!

Most probably an 80 cm dish will do, but since only a few receivers can display those channels, I'd go first first with the receiver and then the dish. If you find an 80cm does the trick then run with it. You can always move up to 1 metre+ if need be.
