Anyone been banned

So can we speculate that a modded drive that only goes on live with legit games should be safe??
 
I haven't played Halo 3 and I still got banned.

I did play C&C yesterday though which installed an update....
 
Been playing online with pes6 and pgr3 backups for a couple of hours with no problems so far (ms25 5.3b )

But am a bit weary if a game asks me to update ?

Quick Question , Is most people that have been banned at some point used the RANT release of Crackdown ?
 
WELL IM TRADING MINE IN FOR A PS3 TOMORROW/TODAY (sat) so even if there is a fix old bill can kiss my ass goodbye. no more live subs no more ms points no more ms bullshit again.

i have just tried to log on to live and i have been banned and the best of it is my box is not modded now.
it broke last month and i sent it back to m$ who replaced it and have not had it flashed again and im banned?
i dont understand it
 
can i reflash my 360 back to standard so there will be no mod done to it so i can go online as i have not taken the chance to put online with all this going on

i'm not yet touch wood, and i feel for thoese that have.......i have a sammy with 5.2 on it.

My thoughts are with the banned guys....
 
has anyone played command and conquer? and not been banned from live? i have played crackdown and downloaded the latest patch for it and still not banned? im on 5.3a

hmmm im finding this strange have you played halo beta?

i dont get why some have and some have not been banned, perhaps people who went online without stealth patched games?
 
yeah thats what i'm reading i didn't download the beta halo3 and i have played crackdown and c & c online.

sammy with 5.2 on it.

No-one really knows how long M$ has been collecting info on peeps I'm afraid. But if you have not modified the console you have now then phone up M$ and play holy hell with them and get them to swap it out.

As long as the warranty sticker has not been broken, which it shouldn't have if you have not modified the console, they are up shite creek and if there's enough people report boxes like this then they 'MAY' wipe the sleet clean for everyone due to a cockup they made.

As for whats going on here I personally think it has been since the new dash update. And going off what peeps are saying I think they found a way to detect the NON-stealth games. This would explain why the Hitachi drives like mine are getting hit the worst.

It would also explain why some peeps are getting banned and others aren't.

I think if you play with a NON-Stealth patched game they know your drive has been modified and down comes 'Billy Boys Ban Hammer'.

Question to all those playing online and are still ok, are all the games you have tried stealth patched and are you using a Sammy or Hitachi drive? From what I have read so far they are all Sammy drives so I am presuming the games are stealth patched.....

The first release of Crackdown to hit the net was NON-Stealth! Then a patch was released to Stealth it up but how many peeps actually bothered when the copy they had was already working for them...... Now how many have been online with that un-patched one to steal Halo 3 Beta.....
 
yeah sammy here for me.....with 5.2 on it and all my games that i have are stealth patched.

If this is the case with crackdown then yeah i downloaded it off the net, but i didnt get halo, and i have'nt played crackdown after the dashboard update.

I was online last night when i started to find out that peeps were getting banned so i logged off and have'nt been back on yet....* insert worried gif here *

Looks like my theory above could be right then.... I'd be interested to know if your Crackdown is stealth patched and if you could get online with it without being banned. If so then I'd say there a bladdy good chance I could be right if all your collection of games are STEALTH.

Obviously don't risk testing this if you wan't/need to use the Live! service and don't have access to a second unmodded box or similar. Also only test this theory at your own risks, I take no responsibility if you do get banned.

I'd give it a go with mine as I rarely play on Live! and my 12 month sub is up anytime now, but I have a Hitachi :(

yeah mate i for the love of DW and the members i would give it a go...but alas i don't want to be banned......

i can try and find out if crackdown is stealth patched i'll plop it in my sammy that i have on me pc and have a look at the SS and stuff.

Most of the games that i have were from originals and they were run through the kreon firmware on the sammy drive that i have on my pc.

I have how ever downloaded a few from newsgroups...so i'm not sure if these have been patched are not mate....i don't know.

i'll have a look at crackdown now mate and report back see what it says in xbox backup creator.

That's good to know. I'd check all your games and the one's that are not Stealth you need to mark them in some way if this pans out to be true so you don't use one on Live! and get banned ;)

Anyone got a sammy and ALL stealth patched games that want to give this theory a whirl? Shame my Hitachi isn't a Sammy.... I always find myself saying this! WHen the first hack was release for the Sammy's I thought it. Then the Sammy's turned out to be quieter driver's and I thought it. Then the Sammy got loads of firmware update's........

Now I could of tested this theory as I am not too bothered about Live!....lol

Bloody Hitachi drive....lol

P.S. Out of interest when you do get banned can you still upload your gamerscore from the banned box or do you get no access to Live! what-so-ever?
 
ok for the cause will list all my games and see if they are all stealth patched.

Just checked crackdown and it is.
