Hi Devilfish, I tried all that last night aswell...even went as far as to use Bruteforce aswell...after many hours still the same..almost a sleepless night managed a couple of hours....someone tell me where the magic files go properly and I'll try that tonight.

magic files go in the var/keys folder but i can't see how this is going to help ur scanning probs. on a slow scan how many transponders u find?

what area and what box r u it may be worhwhile getting a service file for ur area....

Hi, I still get the 188 transponders as I did previously but for whatever reason only picks up 6 channels and even then I don't get a picture.

I'm going to try reflashing it tonight and take it to a friends house and scan there and see what happens. Will update you all later tonight. Thanks for your help so far.
 
OK, before you all say it i'm a Muppet...thats that over with...turned out to be the ariel cable didn't it!!

On a slow bruteforce scan you will always get 188 transponders as this is the ammount of transponders specified in the cables.xml ...
 
Someone tell me what i am doing wrong please. Flashed new image, got my keys and roms from previous image, done bruteforce scan, picked up all channels. But, only some are available, can't get no sky sports, not even sports news, can get all setanta and attheraces and racing uk. Some movie channels work, not all??? Can't even pick up sky news.. EPG is showing on all channels, even the ones that do not work??? Have tried diff cams and ucodes, but to no avail.. Anyone shed some light on this please?

the camds in the image are all the latest ones if you read the posts in this thread all will be revealed look for magic files thats what you need try that.
it may also be cc have a fault in your area.

Eventually got some stability on this image with my sagem 2x settings as ucode= 0014 and emu set as= newcam and all cams activated and location set been ok now for a couple of hours congrats to the commando team.
 
Any advice Guys flashed my box works great, so far with this image, flashed my M8 new box with the same image and files and says on the screen " cant decode " on the info bar
and on the end of the info bar in RED it has LOC

any help thanks.........
 
Try taking a backup of your working image on your box and flash it to your mates box. Then you'll know they are identical and can rule out the image as a problem.

got a complete flash from mine (MTD5.IMG)

ftp to his tmp folder
then write one partion
file selctor
then it shows the MTD5.IMG
press red after asking do I want to flash

and get

cant open mtd5-device

and nothing happens

any idea again what I am doing wrong

hi m8
when i take a back up i only read 1 partition without boot loader
the image file is mtd4.img

then write 1 partition without bootloader
this works for me hope this helps always flash you box without boot loader or you will kill your box m8

I haven't tried this yet, but AIUI, it's part squashfs and a flash without bootloader will be MTD4
 
done that m8 and it did flash but now on reboot got kein sysetm

my box is a nokia 2x flashing to a nokia 2x

I am lost ? thougt you only got kein system if you flash a 1x image to a 2 x

damn i wanted this image as well, my heads up my backside and cant be bothere spending time putting other files elsewhere (may as well be honest)
