no m8 just flash a 500c image over scan (may need to activate emu) then watch no need to keep upgrading images unless u want :) the only thing that may need changing once in a while is the emu.

I'm thinking of getting a Dreambox 7025 with dual cable tuners.
Q. Can I record a show on one tuner (Tuner1) and watch another channel on the other tuner? (Tuner2)

Q. If I'm watching Tuner2 while recording can I switch back to see whats being recorded by Tuner1?

Q. Are the Dreambox images as good as the Dbox2 images? (Commando5 is great!)

Q. Is video streaming as sketchy as the Dbox2? Or is it a lot more stable?

Q. Is the Dreambox 7025 as user friendly as the Dbox2?

Q. The signal in my area seems to have gotten weaker in the past month, is the cable tuner in the Dreambox 7025 able to deal with weak signals?

Cheers,

don't know
shouldn't matter as you can get a booster from argos :)

From what I've read about other peoples problems, they seem a lot harder to setup than the dbox or 500c.

There seems to be a lot of problems with scanning...but that was with a sat tuner and a cable tuner.

Hopefully someone will be able to give you a more precise answer.

Not sure if this question has been asked, but can you connet dreambox to a wireless network

Thanks, M8. I have downloaded help file. Unless I am missing some thing I cant see any reference to a wireless network. Any advise

If you have a wireless router you can connect it to one of the ports with an ethernet cable. You would then have internet access on the box for updates or addons.

You could also buy an access point or ethernet bridge and connect that to the dreambox. That would then communicate with the wireless router and you would get access that way. This way is good if you have your dreambox downstairs and your router upstairs.

Hi Devilfish
I would be putting the dreambox in one room but have computer in another room, so cables would be out the question.
Whats this ethernet bridge? and would it allow me to connect to computer wireless

I have a linksys router so this is the bridge that I have.

I have router connected to PC in bedroom via ethernet cable.
Dbox connected to router via ethernet cable.
Wireless laptop.
Wireless bridge connected to dreambox downstairs.

I can access the dbox or dreambox from either the PC or the laptop.

Thats just what I need. So the dream box is connected to the bridge and thats it!
The drambox is advertised on ebay at the moment so I will order one. Thanks again

I would recommend you order from dvb-shop24. They are an approved dealer for Dream Multimedia products.

They honour the warranty and even pick the box up from your house if it's faulty.

They also sell on ebay under the same name. Anyone else you're taking a risk.

Heres the link, what your opinion http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/DREAMBOX-500C...2QQihZ017QQcategoryZ39804QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
The only reason I am buying from ebay is that the image is already loaded, i dont know how to do it myself or even have the confidence to

It says that it has the Dream hologram so it should be a real one!

I find it hard to believe he has 35 of them though!

But seems ok.
