Virgin Media - What deals you got? 2022

@avid

If VM are going down the "new contract" agreed route, don't you have a legal right to change your mind within 14 days? Try them with that and see if they sort it out for you finally.

They tried to say that there is only a cooling of period for new customers. 😆
I have cancelled now fook em. My contract end in March and I have to return my router.

@avid

If you do return your stuff, make sure you take photos of contents and packed in box they send. They will add the value of any "missing" items to your final bill. Keep hold of the Collect+ receipt from the drop off counter.

Good luck mate been waiting since last night!!
Only just finished with them now. Offered £55 for 200meg, fun tv bundle & land line, so told them want to cancel & being cut off on the 9th March.

We have cancelled and I have just sighed up in my name. I must be mad but next time I am not negotiating as they proper lie to you.

I'm not sure if they've changed their evil ways since I last renewed but I've never had a problem.
I cancel then retentions ring me and I strike a deal
You do have a 14 day cooling off period so if your not happy cancel.
I've always been happy enough with Virgin.you do get the odd hiccup but the majority of the time it does as it says on the tin.
Mines due up August then it's time to bash another deal out.

Do you cancel by phone as it seems difficult to get to speak to anyone.

Guys

I used the whatsapp way to negotiate and got m500+ talk weekends for £39 , I was paying £49 for m350+talk weekends.
I kept referring to the new customers getting better prices and to be honest why should they care who is paying them if that be me or new customer?
Anyway I think that's a fair price to be honest , I know some of you have better deals but best i could do

I have had my new contract confirmed.
My wife’s contract ends on 9th March and mine starts on the 10th March. M100 for £24 a month with a £100 Amazon voucher.

Couldn't clearly understand person in retentions but I'm staying the same payment with upgraded tv

My wife has just had a call from virgin and the lad wanted to know why she was leaving. So I explained what happened on the WhatsApp chat about the price and the threat’s and me having to sigh up as a new customer. He then said that with all the hassle we have had that he will give us m100 for £17 a month on an 18 month contract. Good result tbh

I have not had any emails confirming this deal but we will see.

For anyone who’s interested 02037436947 is the number for the outbound retention team. They have two teams, one based in Glasgow which is the team who rang me and they where very helpful and there is one based in Swansea. These are the teams who ring you after you have gone through the full cancellation process and will probably make you better offers. I would suggest like @silverdale said and fully cancel and wait for them to phone you or except their initial offers before you cancel if you are happy with them. Either way it is down to your own personal preference. Good luck.

Nice one with the number, I definitely wouldn't accept their first offer before you cancel as its normally a tenner off.

Cancel
Wait
Or no call
Ring em
But that number is well handy. Just act thick and say you've had a missed call so what's the offer. Someone on the end of the phone will be on a bonus commission to keep you with them.
My only advise is, get it done there and then.
