Has anyone tried doing online update after going to v3? Does it update except for drivers? Also anyone tried doing online update with driver folder on read only?

Yes with VTI 6.0.8 you can do online update and ure box not beeing bricked...but u HAVE to FIRST update to V3...German Solo2 clone users have done this...but i ADVICE strongly u not to do a online update with original driverst!!

VTI 6.0.8 works perfect Youtube.tv works and after you protected ure driverd with chattr command and u do a online update then it updates and HBBTV works also...

Yes i done online update with read only drivers...works perfect!!!

But VTI-6.0.8 VU + SOLO2 on vu hd side so I heard that a new driver splashing around, otherwise the old one still, vti-6.0.8 when I take from other side, then try to break my box has? Always vu hd-page update?

Open the box up, remove the 2 hex bolts on the serial port and then check to see if the board moves side to side but don't force it. I've seen cases where the solder joints have given way, the board then can be moved side to side and the serial board needed to be resoldered back in place.

To find out if the box is V3 you can install an untouched new image (from BH site, VTi site i.e.). But don´t connect the sat cable!
If the box starts up normally, then it is no V3. If it is V3 the start will be blocked.
You can do the V3 several times and it should always runs through with "download complete" at the end. I think your box is V2.

Hi, i managed to flash 3.1 update to the vu solo 2 mini, strange i was using a old rs232 cable never had issues with it even turned it around, even flashed normal vu solo with it fine, i used the rs232 cable included with vu solo 2 mini and it downloaded complete, i did switch it around and it didnt flash, its such small length , at least can feel more protected now

Hi I have just ordered a faulty clone which I'm going to try and repair. Can I ask how you can identity the version number, V2 or V3? Is it labeled on the receiver unit?

ya you're right - its the same as solo2 (twin tuner and dual core CPU) just smaller and without the LCD

My box crashed.. (in my epg.. I had bonus channels).. Selected that, and at the top it looked like a paper clip... Anyway, pressed ok... Vix in top left was spinning for 5mins... Held power in remote to reset... Not nothing. Apart from the openvix screen. It'll work again if I flash the image clean. Strange.
