Virgin Media and Warner Bros., a unit of Time Warner Inc., have signed a drama and comedy content deal that will see popular U.S. shows like "Friends", "West Wing" and "ER" play on Virgin's television-on-demand platform.
The deal will see more than 500 episodes of shows including "Nip/Tuck" and "The OC" made available to Virgin's cable users.
It has secured recent content deals with Channel 4 and Buena Vista, which distributes Disney movies for television outside the United States.
HBO, the U.S. cable network owned by Time Warner, also recently launched a subscription video on demand service in Britain with Virgin Media, BT Vision and Tiscali TV
