Hi sorry if its old ground but I wanted to check the latest map (UK and major roads of Europe) I can put on my 300 go. I'm not a tom tom techy, but upgraded to V6 about a year ago and remember it being hard work!

Also if I have sucsess on the 300 will the same process work on a 500 or 700 (bro and girlfriend have these)

V8.15 is the latest maps and nav V8.3xx is latest Navcore. The process of upgrading them will be same for 500 and 700 too

try youtube there are video tuts on there you have to replace the old maps with the new maps on your tomtom the folder is called whatever the maps are called ie western_europe_#######. you then turn on the tomtom you will get NoMaps turn it off reconnect to your computer and run easyusetools read the readme file its broken english but understandable it is most important to put the metatext file in the put_meta_text_here and device code in the device.text folder,s
to get your device code touch the bottom of the screen on the right and then touch the version number the device is a list of 5 alpha numeric a space and a further 5 alpha numerics leave out the space when putting them into device.text folder

thank mad n loony, i was trying to get my head round the thread on how to do it as a noob but didnt want to start mucking around if the 300 couldnt handle v8. Whats the navcore bit mean? I only recall putting on the map for V6 and a key gen thing.
also if you got any clear step by steps (file locations) anyone could mail or pm me that would be cool!

help please as i have a tomtom go 520 with navcor 8.010 and i have used the latest Easyusetools_for Keygen_Mapcheck_Metacheck_ttsystempatcher and run the RunMeforAllAutomatic batch file where all seemed to go ok until i started the tomtom go 520 which states that the "problem with map" you cannot use this map on this device: United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland.

Please help as i use my tomtom every day as i need to travel alot for work

Im trying to use United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland_805_1801 map and um getting the the problem stated in post #73 so if any one can please help in getting hold of any working maps that would be of greate help

there are quite a few threads on this but im trying to get tomtom working on a tytnii ... got tomtom on there, the maps on there too, uk maps anyway, and am now at a standstill. tried the easytools but seemingly i can get it to sort it.?
