Routers Two routeres one as wired access point issues

I have a Billion 8800axl as the main modem/router and an old Billion 7300 in another room being used as a wired access point (running to a sky box and for wireless in that room).

The problem I have is that I Sonos in another room that will only work from my phone if it connects by wireless to the 7300, so if I am in range of the 8800 (which covers the area of the Sonos speaker) it will not work as its not finding it.

Any ideas appreciated.

Have you made sure that the second router acting as an AP is not issuing DHCP, as this could cause an issue? Also, daft as it sounds I have found benefit from setting both my routers (One as an AP) on the same wireless channel, as otherwise there were drop-outs.

Hi many thanks for getting back to me, tried both of your suggestions, still issues so I gave up and purchased an Edimax AP
