The latest letter I've had from them digidude even says owning a computer or mobile phone requires a BBC TV Licence which I'm sure you're aware is complete bull. You only need a licence if you watch live transmissions but they forget to add that to the letter

thats it, im going to prove that farts affect digital transmissions then tax everyone who farts, no, im going to tax everyone who has the equipment to fart, and even if they dont use the equipment for what its designed for, ill tax them extra for not using it properly and affecting digital tv even more

Check the wording it's all designed to scare people who aren't informed and you'll also see the claim that owning a tv and mobile requires a tv licence

i'm not sure i follow you CHOICE, you seem to appear to me as if you are bragging about your ability to avoid thus far paying the licence fee that the rest of us choose to pay because we exercise our CHOICE to abide by the law.

It is not that we want to pay the money but it is the law, clearly you watch tv and you choose to break the law by not paying like the vast majority.
The real question is are the rest of us paying more because of the few that don't pay the fee at all?. Heck i think everyone here is in agreement that the tv licence is not good value for money, but neither is council tax or my water bills lol don't stop me paying them though.

i don't think anyone here is trying to protect there own revenues from tv licencing, infact since you appear to have so many reasons not to pay the fee the only conclusion is that you are intently trying to justify not paying yourself.
It is great if you can avoid it for so long an it is to be hoped that the day you end up in court your arguments hold up equally as well to avoid being fined and i would very much suspect if as you say you have never held a licence you will abviously be fined to the maximum amount the law allows, which probably means you will still have saved some cash lol.

No choice, I havent made enemies over this thread. You just dont like the fact some people dont mind paying for the license. As to me being pro license, if you cannot get the fact that I dont mind paying for it then its up to you. And I being a 'big head' by pointing out the relevent acts which you seem to have failed to read? I know digidude has looked at them, and I would assume a few others have had a look too. Now, stop trying to get personal which silly comments and start making posts that actually mean something. I watch TV yes but I can't stand the BBC and what it stands for so what I do isn't really anything to do with you tbh is it.

Are you saying adding opinions & giving facts to a thread isn't welcome here if it concerns the way your favorite shows are funded ?

I'm afraid it will never happen because they don't get any information from me. We could pretend it will to make you happy but even then they couldn't prove how long it had been so it will be the usual £130 fine which includes court costs
