Hi,
Just changed from Dbox2 to Dreambox 500c with DW2.0, evocam 2.12. On the Dbox I had to attenuate the signal in order to stop the chirping / freezing channels. Now, the Dreambox is really stable in comparison but when I do a bruteforce scan I get all the channels I was hoping for however some of them (mostly Mr Murdoch's) bring up a box with 'switch' in the corner and the message 'service could not be found' and the SNR is down at the low 60's. After reading about this issue I have read that some people find the in line amps (yellow boxes) to resolve this issue so I removed the attenuator with no joy, furthermore the SNR did not change either. Can anyone tell me if they have had luck with the amps in the Bradford TW area? I would gice it a bash regardless but it seems odd that one box needs attenuating and the other needs boosting, are the tuners really that different?
I have also noticed that the ones that work have a duplicate that doesn't i.e Sky2 has two entries under all services, one the works with SNR 96% and one that doesn't with SNR62% however Sky1 just has one entry that doesn't work. Is this a common thing or am I reading too much into stuff?
Thanks for reading, Si
