Sky+HD box upgrading the hard drive

Hi
I have sky+HD box DRX890W-C.I believe it has a 500gb hard drive and gives me roughly 250gb for my recordings but i need more as every few months im getting tight on free space for recordings.
I would like to install a 1TB hard drive while keeping my recordings etc from excising hard drive.
Does anyone have a tutorial on how i can do this anyone done this themselves..any info most appriciated

sorry mate never tried to upgrade as only ever used box on install for all of 10 mins but would imagine could swap it out for a bigger unit sorry not more helpful

also they are not the slim line one like laptop etc

will check mine if its bigger you can have it

On the pre installed HDD there are already files etc pre installed,not sure installing a new blank HDD would work. may be look around on the net for an old sky box with a 1tb HDD going cheap and use that. Thaers a few on ebay from £10 upwards

Cheers @abu seen this posted on official sly forum..this is the way to go..after hours of researching etc it seems a fairly straight forward operation...
