format seagate hard drive from sky + hd box to work with ps4 console

Hi Ive been reading up about external hard drives for the ps4 console someone mentioned that you can format a hard drive from a old sky + hd box so it will work with your ps4 console. Does anyone know how to do it? As we have found plenty of mods for games that we play on the ps4 and we would like to get them working. As people say we can use the old sky hd box hard drive. Would be grateful if anyone can help?

bit more info m8 do you want to make your internal drive bigger , are use a external drive ?

I'm want to use as external HD as I'm gunna try putting mods on my ps4 game
