Recording? USB stick? how?

How do i record onto a usb stick from the dm800hd?

just a quick record for wrestlemania tonight.

no need for hard drive etc..

just want the easiest quickest method of setting this up.

Is the USB stick mounted?

set it up in recording paths mate
menu
setup
system
recording path

then set Default Movie Location to USB

no boss...im at that point on my dreambox of trying to 'mount' it...how do i do this on the blue panel?

i mounted it but now it wont let me record,

when i press red button it says no hdd or hard drive etc

Have you initialised/formatted it?Do that then do what Rat says and set up a recording path

when i go to menu - setup - system, there is NO recording path options....

how do i find this?

yes stick is formatted on windows pc....

Ok try this then

edit /etc/fstab file and add this line at the bottom then reboot,

/dev/sda1 /media/hdd auto defaults 0 0

hopefully then when it records to hdd it will actually be recording to your usb stick

just did this, now my premium channels wont work

Then just remove it, but it wont be that that's causing your premium channel problems,

Did you reboot the box afterwards?

yeah pal, removed it, still premium not working, maybe sub exp...will have to check that...yeah rebooted many times...

may just quit the recording game, fed up of it, any more ideas?

It should have worked m8 but I dont have any experience with the blackhole images and there does seem to be more problems with them then any others,at least that what searching the www leaves me to believe,

Tbh it will be on usenet or torrents by tomorrow anyway m8 so you might be better off waiting til then
