nah...mine is still freezing big time...even with different keys.
i am annoyed because the pic quality on lcd tv is the best out there.
ah well i will change the image later. and let you know if it is the image.

strange have you tried the new keys and the evocam thats my setup and it solved it

i have reverted back to...dons specialist !
Now it is perfect..abosolutely no freeze !
But picture quality suffers !
ahh well..cant have it all.

ps.... whick keys and cams are you using colin...which image you took them from ??
and if i use the keys and cams from dons specialist and put them in the new 4.2 version..will that work ?? will the picture improve..or will it be the same as using specialist ?

Any chance you could send me the keys you used as whn i try to save my Specialist ones it transfers most but the softcam and autoroll folders fail in transfer.

Thanks m8, I am getting absolutely nothing only fta channels with those keys...strange, I CHMOD them to 755 and still no go, all cams are the same...nothing. Will just stick with specialist for now.

Hi All,

I used to own a brick of a 1x Sagem dbox, it would stutter and pause on nearly all non FTA channels.

Then I gave Dons V4 a try and all my problems have been sorted. Picture quality is great and so is the speed of the channel change. I had the no ucode problem but reflashed and uploaded my services file and didn't select my region this seemed to sort things out.

1 quick question...

Is it possible to get the picture even better by running a really cut down version of the system. Just have the bare minimum needed to run the cams etc. No plugins web browser hdd streaming etc? Just a thought. Thanks again

Quick update....

After the first few days its started to freeze again. I swapped to JTG and it seems to have sorted out the box for now but the picture quality is no where near as good as the Dons image. I wonder if the Don can work his magic on that image.....please

just flashed the x1 image to my box - great picture quality
running very quick.

had the small problem of the ucodes when i was playing around in the location menu - i just re-flashed. changed cam to mgcam. working fine.

slight problem ive just noticed is that the clock on the info bar a digit is missing. it should be '09:54' but instead its showing as '0 :54' ? its fine on the lcd though

I had that problem but it something I messed up myself but Mr Dontay told me how to sort it, its further back in this thread, at link below post No. 69

althouhg ive been suffering with almost constant freezes - tried changing cams / ucodes etc but its just not playing very nicely.
back to commando i think.

now it IS the PERFECT image for me !

hello there, thought i might as well leave feedback, i have been using the Dons v2 image for some time would of kept using it but i think i killed the network part of it so i put V4 on it and wow the pitcher is just wow, the only thing i have about it is the frezzing now and agen, if i put the v2 back on (i made a back up of it) that works fine just doesnt look as good, i have read around but every thing i find is that the signel is not good come here and people are on about changing the cams and ucode files, i havent tryed that yet but will have to when i find the files to try it with.

All in all its a good image, but the only bad thing i have is the frezing, i think thats the image but dont know so not blaming you Don but some help would be nice.

Hi, have you tried the Don v4 that I have modified, it has the correct cams and ucodes in place, works on mine ok, it is in the download section as modified

well ok just tryed your one markymarc it got about 50% thought and stopped at programming flash, it is just sitting there HELP!!!! i did a flash with out bootloader.

edit: am i going to have to use a nullmodem cable??? if so, dam, i dont have a serial port on any PC or laptop

I got the Dons V4 modified love the picture and did not have to reboot all the time
but whats driving me mad is the freezing for about 10 secs every so often
is there any advice on a fix for this.

try a ucode change may help i think you should try 0014 or 0013 and 001A
