What really annoys me is people who write "would of" and "could of" instead of "would've" and "could've." It shows complete ignorance of the basics of English grammar.

I think that people who don't read much tend to write things as they think they hear them, rather than how they're written. Hence the annoying "draw" rather than "drawer", and the "have" in "would've" ends up as "of".
