Feedback / echo on headset

Does anyone know how to stop hearing yourself back on the normal wired headset ? It drives me mad. Ive tried moving my mic further away from the headphone and turning it down and asked people on the other end to do the same but it keeps doing it. Really annoying if your trying to have a conversation with someone

never happens to me....try a new mic they don't cost that much and try it in another controller......
