As a new member Im limited to 1 download per day, I should be on 5 by now, but I think the auto promote thing isnt working for me.

I downloaded the bouquet yesterday and have my channels perfect, except that BT Sports 1 and 2 are in the FTA HD section rather than in the normal Sports section. BT Sports HD is still working for CardSharing. I will figure out how to fix that later.

Anyway the question I have is about the picons autoupdater. I know the autoupdater for the bouquet has now been stopped, is it the same for the picons? Should I download the picons myself and FTP them into a folder named picons?

If so, is the picons download file on post number 1 the latest build? Or do I have to find the most recent post for that?

just use Dreamboxedit to move BT sports to wherever you want mate.
The other stuff i dont have an answer for.

not sure what box you are running but if a dreambox 800 you can use the move mode under the menu button, picon will be then when moved, and answer to picon updater yes that's gone as well you need to download can copy manual via ftp and bouquets via drambox edit, you can also sort your channels via dreambox edit before you transfer them to the box.

RAT will no longer update autoUpdater picons and bouquets he will still do picons and bouquets to manually update
