CROSSEPG Issue No EPG.DAT

Hi please help before my brain bursts. I can reflash and setup my dreambox in about 30 mins now whereas it used to take 2 weeks Everything works fine except for the CROSSEPG, it seems to download everything correctly but it doesn't create an epg.dat and seems to hang on parsing summaries. I have actually used filezilla to search my whole box and the epg.dat doesn't exist instead there is ext.epg.dat in hdd/crossepg.

I created a new epg.dat using telnet commands, the file appears then disappears again right in front of my eyes. I'm using a Merlin Image and it has all worked before I have reformatted my box and reinstalled it's still the same no epg.dat... This is driving me nuts so any help really appreciated as I have a 2TB disk and would love to start filling it with movies for my little girl.

I know that I'm probably missing something stupid :banana:

Thanks I had a good look through that thread I have tried quite a bit of it before, I updated all of the providers but unfortunately still no epg.dat file Yet again still only ext.epg.dat when I search with filezilla

Hi can anyone please help as I still don't have an EPG.Dat file on my Dreambox. I searched the comple box, USB and HDD via filezilla and it still cant find an EPG.DAT. Cross EPG is installed correctly and setup to use the USB. It determines the total channels and downloads the data but seems to hang parsing summaries. When I look at the db info the channel count is zero yet the db is 170MB. For some weird reason I don't have an EPG.DAT

I have reflashed a couple of times from scratch and it still doesnt have a EPG.DAT file

Thanks for the fast response I have tested and tried another USB stick, I've also set CROSSEPG to use the HDD and its still the same issue. Oddly I reflash the Merlin Image which used to work fine with CROSSEPG and it just doesn't work any more. Is there someone that could have a quick look at my CROSSEPG log file to try and make sense of what is going on?

its not downloading thats for sure as the times are the same , have you the epgrefresh plugin ? thats a sat or cable stream instead

Thanks for your help... Yes EPG refresh is on but I put it on after CROSSEPG failed as at least it provided a little EPG data. From the above picture you can see that crossepg.descriptors is over 200MB so it must be downloading something... I've switched it off EPG refresh and and tried another CROSS.EPG download which seems to run fine. finds all channels, downloads and seems to parse summaries at 14.51MB then music stops and freezes for a while then returns to crossepg setup menu. Unfortunately still no EPG

Hi guys - Thanks for all of your help so far but I'm still not having any luck with CROSSEPG... The above log file seems to show that the channels are found and data downloaded, summaries parsed, etc but still no EPG or channel count zero. It's driving me crazy as all of the Descriptors are there it just doesn't seem to apply this to the EPG... :Mad2: I've reflashed it with Merlin but still the same problem I feel like taking a :Chainsaw: to the thing!!! Please any advice would be majorly appreciated!!!
