such is the satellite hobby!! this is why its good to have a motorised dish and to never rely on 1 package or channel, regards mdt

Hi again all,

I'm currently receiving a decent signal on the following transponder... this is the first time I've been able to achieve a stable lock on this frequency...

Hi again all,

I've finally managed to get a signal lock on the following transponder/frequency and download the channels... this is/was the only transponder/frequency that I hadn't been able to receive... until today...

At the moment I can only attach a picture showing the signal reception/signal lock on this transponder/frequency... I will have to add pictures of the TV channel at a later date...

For some strange reason all of the channels on this transponder/frequency are now off-air... they weren't earlier... all I'm currently getting is the "No Audio/Video" message on-screen... and I've just noticed that this problem is also affecting some channels on 11.135 H [27500]

Best Wishes,
Zorch

i noticed the problem on a few channels today on 11.135.H myself today m8 with glitching/blocking even though the signal quality was at 76%. i have noticed though that the signal on 11.135.H is the same as 11.014.H now and isnt dropping to 50-55% in the afternoon as it was a while back. i sent an e-mail to azerspace themselves stating this strange occurance so maybe they fixed it. regards mdt

Not a Sniff here Zorch on 11095 all others are fine but only reaching around 42% on the 5402 so not enough for a decent lock

Hi again all,

I was going to post the following transponder/channel update a couple of weeks ago... but I forgot...

11.039 V [3700] 5/6 DVB-S QPSK [Central Asia Beam]

Symbol Rate changed to 3700
PID's changed on Kahkeshan TV

Ukrkosmos Package
Kahkeshan TV [VPID 4177/APID 4178/PPID 4177] FTA
Test Channel 2 [VPID 4129/APID 4130/PPID 4129] FTA
UTR Ukraine [VPID 4113/APID 4114/PPID 4113] FTA

TM 5402 HD CI+ Super+
Signal Strength 96%
Signal Quality 61%

I have also come across an interesting anonaly when downloading channels from this transponder/frequency using my TM 5402 HD CI+ Super+

If I manually enter transponder/frequency 11.039 V [3700] in the Advanced Search menu and then set the Network Search to ON ...the channels download fine but the Network Search also detects/generates a further two transponders/frequencies 11.512 H [30000] & 12.305 H [27500] (see photo)

View attachment 75748(click on image to enlarge)

However there's no indication whatsoever that a signal lock is achievable on them... it's also strange that the Network Search should detect/generate them in the first place because if you look at the Technical Info for Azerspace 1 on FlySat (see screen grab) you will notice that the only part of the Ku Band currently in use is 10.950 GHz ~ 11.200 GHz

Thanks to FlySat

Could another member please test this out on a different make of receiver that also has the Network Search feature...

Best Wishes,
Zorch

yes -- the F15 is showing the 2 other t.p.s with network search -- but with a slight difference -- 11.512 H is showing for me as 11526 H ]

Hi again all,

NB
Edited version of my original post...

11.039 V [3700] 5/6 DVB-S QPSK [Central Asia Beam]

If I manually enter transponder/frequency 11.039 V [3700] in the Advanced Search menu and then set the Network Search to ON ...the channels download fine but the Network Search also detects/generates a further two transponders/frequencies 11.512 H [30000] & 12.305 H [27500]

However there's no indication whatsoever that a signal lock is achievable on them... it's also strange that the Network Search should detect/generate them in the first place because Azerspace 1 only uses a small part of the Ku Band from 10.950 GHz ~ 11.200 GHz

Doh!! ...it finally dawned on me why the two additional transponders are being generated by the Network Search feature after downloading channels from this transponder/frequency... it's all to do with the provider Ukrkosmos

11.512 H [30000] used to be a transponder/frequency used by Ukrkosmos on Hellas Sat 2 at 39.0°E [S2 East Beam]

12.305 H [27500] is a current/active transponder/frequency used by Ukrkosmos on Astra 1G at 31.5°E [West Beam]

Strange... I always thought that the Network Search feature detected transponders/frequencies that were being used by the same provider but only on the specific satellite you were scanning... it's a new one on me... so why would Ukrkosmos want those two transponders/frequencies to be added to the TP list on another satellite...?

It doesn't make sense... but it also raises another question... if I happened to be using a DiSEqC motor (which I'm not) ...and I scanned this (Network Reference) transponder/frequency... after my receiver had downloaded the channels associated with the original transponder/frequency... would my dish then move from Azerspace 1 and attempt to find the other satellite positions where the two additional transponders/frequencies were/are located... and download the channels...?

I'm confused... can anyone shed any light on this...?

Best Wishes,
Zorch

Hi again all,

Has anyone managed to receive a signal on the following transponder/channel...?

11.057 V [1303] 5/6 DVB-S QPSK
My Vista TV (UAE)

KingOfSat/LyngSat don't list this transponder/channel on their charts at all... but FlySat/Satbeams do... and their charts have it on the Europe Beam... obviously this cannot be the case as someone would have posted a reception report by now... so we must assume that it's actually on the Central Asia Beam... unless there's a third beam in operation... unlikely.

However... I receive ALL of the Central Asia Beam transponders/channels on a regular basis... but I've been unable to see any indications that a signal is even present on this transponder/frequency... so I decided to do a TEST to see if I could resolve this... I opened my cndf file (transponder/channel list) in NDFEdit 1.69 and I added the following transponders to an unused/empty satellite position... and I assigned each transponder the same (default) Symbol Rate 46000

11.054 V [46000]
11.055 V [46000]
11.056 V [46000]
11.057 V [46000]
11.058 V [46000]
11.059 V [46000]
11.060 V [46000]

NB
46000 is the default Symbol Rate (S/R) used by Technomate receivers... this (S/R) can only be added/assigned to a transponder permanently with the aid of an Editor program... Technomate receivers are unable to store the 46000 (S/R) in the Advanced Search menu... however you can temporarily assign (S/R) 46000 to any transponder in the Advanced Search menu when you want to check to see if a signal is present on any given transponder frequency... adding/assigning this (S/R) to transponders in the Editor program is especially useful when you don't know the specific (S/R) that a transponder is using... therefore when the 46000 symbol Rate is added/assigned to ANY transponder/frequency it will then act as the correct (S/R) currently being used by the transponder/frequency in question... you can then download any channels associated with the transponder/frequency...

Back to the test... when I scanned the above transponders/frequencies with default S/R 46000 these are the results I got...

11.054 V [46000]
Kahkeshan TV
Test Channel 2
UTR Ukraine

11.055 V [46000]
Kahkeshan TV
Test Channel 2

11.056 V [46000]
Kahkeshan TV
Test Channel 2

11.057 V [46000]

UTR Ukraine

11.059 V [46000]
Kahkeshan TV
Test Channel 2

11.060 V [46000]
***NO SIGNAL***

So it would seem that the signal for...

11.057 V [1303] 5/6 DVB-S QPSK [Central Asia Beam]
My Vista TV (UAE)

...is actually being blocked by...

11.039 V [4444] 5/6 DVB-S QPSK [Central Asia Beam]
Kahkeshan TV
Test Channel 2
UTR Ukraine

Equipment used for TEST
Fibo 120cm x 135cm Gregorian
TM 5402 HD CI+ Super+
Phantompatch 117p
