AU funcard HELP Please

Hi, I'm very new to cable and have been getting a mte to get my card updated but I thought I'll have a go myself now.. but with no joy:Cry: I have followed the following guide but every time I put the card in and leave for a while it comes up with "Sorry your smart card is invalid"

MAKING AN AU FUNCARD

1 FIND THE RIGHT FLASH FOR YOUR AREA (ntl ,tw ,excw)
2 RENAME THIS MY FLASH.HEX
3 FIND THE FILE NAMED CRYPTHEXEEP v3
4 RENAME THIS MY INTEEP
5 OPEN UP RHV1 6 OR 7AND ENTER YOUR IRD BACKWARDS IE 12 OR 3E LAST
6 ENTER YOUR BK
7 CLICK THE RADIO BUTTON FOR YOUR AREA
8 SAVE THIS TO THE DESKTOP AS MY EXTEEP
9 THIS GENERATES A .BIN FILE
10 NOW DRAG THE .BIN FILE OVER THE TOP OF SWAPBINHEX
11 THIS NOW GENERATES A .HEX FILE
12 DELETE THE OLD .BIN FILE SO YOU DON’T GET MIXED UP
13 OPEN UP YOUR PROGRAMMER AND WRITE THE FILES ONE AT A TIME IN THIS ORDER
14 MY EXTEEP
15 MY INTEEP
16 MY FLASH
17 PUT THE CARD IN YOUR BOX
18 PUT BOX ON BBC 1
19 GIVE IT UP TO 5 MINUTES TO UPDATE

I'm in a ex CW area using a DITV 2000, using an Elvis programmer. I have tried it both ways with the IRD no. backwards and the normal way but still no luck.

I have also tried the guide by ice2004 but that only shows how to program with 2 files!! or maybe I'm being stupid.

Any ideas?

v3 is no good choas v3 is what you need

Sorry to be a pain but do I use chaos v3 as the flash?
Do I not need CRYPTHEXEEP v3?

choas v3 is flash use your exteep
no inteep
no cryphex v3 m8

It didnt work, still saying Smart card invalid...

I loaded them one by one, does it have to be loaded together? or what am I doing wrong..

I can never remember which ones i've updated and which one's i haven't (fun /atmega /opos) guess the memories going lol

I'm pulling my hair out, what am I doing wrong?

How can I check to see if the card has been erased using muliprog?

I have been deleting the card and tring all the above but still no luck.

I'll try Chalie's tut from scarch...

Are you sure your bk and ird are correct ? its easy to mistake a B for an 8 etc

It's written underneath the box and also saved on a notepad.

Is there any way I can get the BK checked with the IRD no.?

i always put ird in forwards in rhv1 works every time
but as charlie says check your bk
where did you get it ??

I'v had the box for years but since VM update I have not had a chance until today....
