I have a video that is 8GB in size and I'm try to put it on a 32GB USB stick
but I get a pop up saying "file too large" why is this and how can I get around it without making the file size smaller?

Edit: formatted it to exfat from fat32 now it works

8gb seems quite large for a video file. Whats the file play time?

The data rate and total bit rate are quite high. You could try and re-encode the file using free program called Handbrake. Check the video and quality from each output file setting you try.

Its okay now I've put it on the USB now
I use them settings all the time for YT

The size of the file or the fact that it is a video file does not matter. Simply, the FAT32 format is defined so that the maximum file size must be less than 4 GB.
So, use any other format and you won't have any problems.
