Anyone ever used small claims court?

Thinking of taking house builder to small claims they have offered compensation but not enough IMO
Toying with going down small claims route. Anyone any experience of this?

it's quite easy to do but there is no guarantee you will get the cash, i had to send in the bailiffs to get my payment after the court ruled in my favor, but the bailiffs are not cheap , you can read the process here if you do not do the above

If is a new build Colin can you not go to the nhbc as it is covered for 10 years

It is a new build mate, the builders have eventually put right all the problems so not really one for NBC now but basically it's been a nightmare 12 days off work to sort it etc.. As well as huge amount of hassle caused which they have admitted liability and made me an offer but I think I should be due more
