Take a copy of the working /keys folder from the new image. Flash your backup of the image you had working before and check to make sure the mount still works. Copy over the new keys folder and reboot the box. :)

Sorry but I don't see the point. All images are clone safe except the Gemini 4.3.1. Most image creators should know to use a different head.ko file when creating a new image or else it will follow the same fate as 4.3.1.

How did you flash the image? If you used Dreamup then you should have selected NO when it asks if you want to flash erase after flash. If you selected YES then the settings will have went to default (like a factory reset) and all the new roms will have been deleted.
