tests on TM600

ok, so i started off on UR august image, using the miniweb, i then loaded the PLi image, which i found VERY sluggish on the remote, now i do like the PLi images, i have JADE running on my 7020 and my DM600, i tested the download panel and that was fine, but as i suspected, and i suspect the other images will be the same, it doesnt recognise connected hard drives via usb

i think i may have a work around for this though, ill check all the images first though before i try this, but in my head, i cant see why it wont work flawlessly ;)

next up, now that UR is gone, i have no miniweb, so fire up TCC7 and the nabilo image flashed over with no problems (pic attached)

now i have nabilosat BH on my DM800, and i really like the nabilo image, and i have to say, on the tm600, the remote response on this image is fookin lightnin quick, i mean this is fookin fast, this is how remote response should be, im well impressed, and so far, for me, this image is a keeper, the sif one will need to be really good

the download panel works fine and it has the same options that may get the hard drives going, as even choosing USB for EPG data to be stored on doesnt work, i think its down to the way the usb sockets are connected? not really sure, but ill spend a few hours on this over the weekend

but flashing from PLi to nabilo was no problem at all, and it was flashed via ethernet using TCC7

now for the SiF team one

Re: images from 3 new teams

Nabilo-SiF image

ok, so i fired up TCC7 again, and this time, with no problems, sent over the SiF image, and again, this is lightning quick to respond to the remote, downloaded a couple of skins from their server (mmm, rihanna :)) and again, it doesnt recognise the hard drive

now im thinking about this though, it could be down to the file structure, so may not actually be as simple as i first thought to sort out the drives, but ill give this more time over the weekend

now to complete this, and go back to UR via ethernet :)

Re: images from 3 new teams

Sif wouldnt play nice, so i had to upload UR by serial, but it took first time, and is now loading as i type

in general, other than the hard drive not being recognised, which may be able to work around, the images for the 600 work fine, and other than the SiF one (for whatever reason) all were able to flash over a network to another image with no problems at all

As you can see from previous posts , you cannot flash via ethernet from Nabilo to UR either , you have to do it by serial.
Digidude can you confirm that it changes your receiver , or thinks that your receiver, is an Itgate TG220 and therefore that is the reason why you cannot flash by ethernet.

the PLi image reports the image as a TGS220 as well, and it flashed from PLi-nabilo with no problems, and from nabilo - SiF as well fine

But if you try to flash back to UR image from either you will have to use the serial cable cable and not the ethernet method, can you confirm that so people know.

ill try pli and nabilo to UR later on tonight and report back

Thanks Digidude, Do any of the images have pre-shipped password? If they do can you pls tell me what the passwords are. Thanks in advance.

looks like i need to get a null modem cable. :proud:

thanks for testing em out digidude. shame only the UR image has USB working for now though.

ok, ive loaded UR to test some drives (in another thread) am now flashing via ethernet the nabilo image, ill then try to go back to UR, i know i can go from nabilo to SiF over ethernet, so ill have a play with the different combinations to see what gets where

nabilo to UR over ethernet works perfectly, ensure you change the passwrod to

dreambox

before starting the flash though

UR => nabilo => UR OK
UR => PLi => UR OK
UR => SiF => UR NOT OK

the only one ive had problems with, is SiF => UR via ethernet, every other combination is fine

Thanks Digidude, Nabilo to UR did not work for me on a TM500 even with the password. Sorted it out with the serail cable though.

any other reviews on how these 3 images really WORK?

i mean if they are stable or better than UR etc
