I agree with Manic01, to switch Service+ off :
press menu,
locate Accessory,
select Network press ok,
go down to Service+ press OK,
set Type to OFF,
press exit three times.

Was thinking just that this morning and disconnected it.
Thanks Manic and Jimmy for the advice.
My 9000 has shown as connected today but with nothing opening, I would think it's most likely to be the team carrying out tests so best to leave it disconnected until were told it's safe to connect again.
There are reports on another forum that some channels on 16e have opened for short periods then gone off again, I will try to find out what is happening but it is too early at this stage to get your hopes up.

Supersports running 16E, some movie channels running, I will test further and get back. Looks promising!!
Confirmed elsewhere 16e digitalb slowly opening, supersport 1/2 movies some nature progs etc.

Yes it looks good but we should not get our hopes up to high just yet, as I said they might just be testing but it's GREAT to see something happening.

The first stage has begun, on one machine only. Some channels are restored, but it will take some time before more can be added

After reading about the issues with Service + and discussing these problems with some good friends of mine I have a few questions to ask to the people in the "know" such as Manic01 and Jimihendrix and as Darkman is banned from this forum maybe they could shed some light on the situation, and as this forum seems to be one of the only ones that doesn't ban members for speaking "out of turn" and generally don't remove or edit posts I think it's quite safe to ask these questions.
1) It seems a little coincidental that the shop was closed on Tuesday the 22nd and the Service +/Gift stopped at the same time? Why do you think this is?
2) If the Service +/Gift was run from "Asia" why did it stop working on the same day as the "Fire"
3) Why were there no call outs made by the Fire Brigade in that part of London to that address on that day, if there was a "Fire"?
4) Why has Darkman not been active in any of the other Forums he is a member of over the past week?
5) Why were there pictures of people being lead away in handcuffs posted on another forum not too similar to this one?
6) Why does the coffee shop next door to ***** say that the shop was raided by the Police?
7) The Service +/Gift may be running currently with Digitalb, but how hard is it to add a card to a receiver and link it up to a DynDNS Account?
I have my conclusions that the Service+/Gift was run from the shop, it was raided, all the equipment taken away and that's the reason why it isn't currently running all the cards which were on previously, someone is now running a Digitalb card in a server so that people are getting something rather than nothing, and Darkman is currently in a Police Cell/Jail somewhere in London. My only concern is what are the Police going to do with the servers they have seized from the shop, and if people were a little more honest about the whole situation they wouldn't have to spend time insisting that everything will be business as usual.
I am not an avid fan of Darkman or the whole Service+/Gift thing as it goes against my beliefs on this "hobby", but what does concern me is the information that the Authorities "may" have in their possession.

there's a diff in the server been in asia compared to the uploader been in london. bit like the sv when that went off server in korea but uploader in uk
so say dm was raided (never used a spiderbox) maybe the uploader was in his shop. so they found cards with pc based uploader. all they need is to stick another pc based uploader somewhere else connect to the same server in say (asia ) gift + working again.
if there was some form of control computer in the shop, and the server was on the other side of the world, whats to stop whoever took the PC equipment, from hooking it back up, and farming the details of every IP that connects to it?

Everything is pure speculation.
One thing is 100% fact and that is the shop is closed.
For what reason no one knows.
As for where the server is, I have no idea but surely no one in their right mind would have it located in UK.
As for trading standards raiding shop, do their vans and uniforms have this printed on them or is this more idle speculation.
There is no mention on the FACT website regarding any raids concerning card share etc and they love to post these things.
I have even heard mention tax evasion, which who knows could be nearer the truth.
Service+ is slowly coming back as they report, with or with out DM so who knows who is really behind it as there is no need to carry it on is there.
Lets face facts, there is nothing to gain resurrecting service+ if
a) The shop is out of business (maybe)
b) DM is no longer in a position to sell spiderbox.
c) No one would expect it back and traders are offloading their supplies at cost.
d) Everyone would after few weeks forget about 'Gift' and use something else and accept situation.
