Sky Account Suspended

So have you phoned them up to complain yet? ;)

I sent a strongly worded email to their CEO on Saturday. I'm past caring if they bother re-instating the card or not, costs too much anyway. I'll send the card back if they want it - couldn't care less.

Anyone want to buy a Sky HD box - less than 6 months old?!?!

I have no idea why your sky sub was cancelled but in future for anyone need a boxkey you just need the calculator that comes with every windows installation open it change view to scientific then change view to programmer enter the last 10 digits of your nds serial number select hex and that is your boxkey then that will stop that farming details from boxkey sites and as noip dynsdns i have no idea but there must be alternatives to companies like that

Isnt it strange that they dont offer communication regarding the antipiracy department by phone/letter and only through email? What if you dont have internet access or an email account?

I think they want the person to email them through the IP of which they suspect the server is on, to match the IP address from the email to the cccam server and thus confirm their assumptions.

However if they did play the rogue peer i.e asking for your c line only to bust you I am sure that they should be able to show you some kind of proof to base their assumptions. Internet spying on without a warrant isn't exactly lawful. I would send them a letter asking what the problem is, where is the evidence, how they accumulated the evidence etc.

I have now been told by three other independant people (and just to clarify, all three were running c/s servers) they have had their cards disabled too over the last week.
Seems to be another purge on, much like the one they did back in October I remember reading about.

Are you sure that works?? How do you select the programmer view??

Did they all use online boxkey generators? This will pretty much confirm digi's suspicion and i guess will give a heads up to people if they've used the online boxkey gen.

i used the online boxkey generator, regretting it now

have had the setup for only 2/3 weeks now, was thinking of ringing in and saying the box is playing up & it needs replacing....worth a try or shall i leave it as it is?

Trying to gather the facts from them all. Will let everybody know what I find out.

how long did you have the system before they put a stop on ur account?

I have been a Sly customer for over 2 years. My previous card was in and out of servers periodically as I used it to setup some folk.
The current card first went into a box, which is now being used by someone else as a server for a different card, about 5 months ago. It was at that same time i used the online boxkey converter for my card and for a friends card. His boxkey has since been changed when he upgraded to HD and he has not been cut off.

I'm not a member of ECS but I was able to read a lengthy thread on just this subject and their suspicion is around the use of CCcam 2.2.1:

"I have have this confirmed by a friend, 2.2.1 gives up all Serial Numbers, of all cards in the share. so if you want to be safe, dont use 2.2. and get rid of all peers having 2.2.1.
and dont offer reshare unless they have gotten rid of pers with 2.2.1 there are NDS spys everywere trying to get card serials".

I've been testing his claims. Using OSCAM 0.99.4svn build #2859 (on pc) and using it to steal my local cccam card (vu+) and sharing it via cccam to my tm9100.

LOCAL cccam---->stolen---->OSCAM---->fake local----->cccam

When Local cccam was version 2.2.1 this line appeared in oscam (debug 256)

Someone I know (yeah we've all heard that one before) with a DM500s as a server and a tight network, just got a letter blabbering on about "all cards should be at the same address". Hopefully I'll be seeing the guy this evening and the letter.

Pehaps it's time to start putting the card (multi-room) back in the paired receiver - at the subscriber's house! It hasn't been in the paired receiver for months.

Nothing in the letter (I'm told) about CS'sing or similar.

Perhaps time for a new sub - non multi-room and just pay the £25 charge, as it seems to be another round of something from old Rupee.

click view on the top to select scientific then click view again and select programmer it converts decimal to hex which is the box key i have done it to read my card in a non sky box

Just had an update - Cust Support or whatever they are called, were contacted in a roundabout manner (I'm sure most folk know what I mean - 'Who wants to be a millionaire', 3 choices & it weren't ask the auidence or 50/50...).

The account has been flagged as having Multi-Room issue, no whif of anything else or refer to XYZ.

I suppose it was inevitable given it was a mult-room card and had never talked back ever.

Probably time get a proper sub and use the primary card instead and perhaps a 2nd card and rotate them round in the DM500 on a fortnightly\weekly basis - that way the each card is out of the "loop" for a short period.

well this looks like the start of it again

i point the finger at the c*nts who blatently sell boxes on ebay with 12 months CS sub

how much more blatent can it get

look what happened to the idiot in derby who was selling skyview boxes as if he was doing nothing wrong

Ebay! Just as every neighbourhood had a Card shark back in the good old bad days of Cable - every neighbourhood now seems to have someone selling a DM500s with 12 months subs (supposedly) for £150-£200. Yet to hear from anyone who's had anything over 3 months yet! Or hasn't become un-watcheable.
