The Twenty 20 World Cup

Can never see past the Aussies for this one they just score so heavily and consistently, Pakistan are my other choice and of course to be patriotic id love to see England do well.:BLOBBY:

Dear oh dear oh dear.

What a farce from the host team. Openers were excellent putting on 102/0 after 11 overs, then the rest were awful. Stuart Broad you effing numptie, he could have got up and walked to the stumps to get a draw.

Fielding was amateurish to say the least, lost count of the amount of run outs were they missed the stumps.

Well done the Netherlands, they deserved their win imho

Once again England invent another game 20/20 and are sh1te at it.

Missed the game just checked online scores to see and i am in shock will be watching highlights shortly!

England cock up again fookin knobs!

Why wasn't Rob Key in at number 3 he is a good player Collingwood is shite?

Omgosh id just posted hope they do well and they get done over by the Netherlands wot a shocker but fair play to em they deserved the win and played very well. Broad last over how did he not snag a wicket 3 chances he had flaming joke. England came in thinking theyd walk it and got bit on the arse, hope that's enough of a wake up call. Think they will struggle now to get out of that group as I can see Pakistan giving us a mowing over n all. Ah well !!

what are england actually good at!? Over-hyped in everything and that was a hopeless performance.... Makes sunday's game against pakistan a huge must win...

Scotland did really well today in the shortened 7 overs match against NZ.

89 was a tough ask but NZ were outstanding and got 90 in just 5 overs.

That was a real slog fest match.

The Aussies got their a$$es tanned by WI. Chris Gayle blitzed them and Brett Lee was hit for 27 in one over.

Aussies made less than 70 in 1st 10 overs and considering thats 6 overs of powerplay....just not good enough but they posted a reasonable total but WI made it easy thanks to Gayles powrerful hitting.

This being a big hit type of game I wonder if the WI have a chance cos they have some other powerful batters who werent even needed today.

The crowd got their monies worth today for those 2 matches.

Big one tomorrow wonder if England can do it to have any chance!

This could be embarrassing should they lose tomorrow!

What an idiot Stuart Broad is he fooked up yesterday!

hopefully we can win... i just hope that it doesnt rain or very likely we're gona be out with pakistan playing the dutch on tuesday....

Batting wise I didn't think India were that convincing until Yuvraj came in and battered them all over the place, hteir bowling was great though, so Yuvraj and the bowlers saved them but they got the win.

Does anyone know if any batsman is using the new Mongoose bat in this competition ???

if bangladesh had been more disciplined in both their batting and bowling, they would have won today.... the balls for yuvraj's 6's were just awful...

This doesnt even seem like a World Cup, some of the matches just seem like normal 50 over matches. The atmosphere is craptastic at some of the matches.
The atmostphere at the last world cup was fantastic and is what got everyone going about the excitement of twenty20 cricket, and i have no doubt the next world cup in West Indies will be even better.
Boring england organisation as usual

As for that India match, I was hoping that both Dhoni and Gambhir would get out sooner rather than later so someone who is actually prepared to hit big would come on and get the score moving. I didn't understand why Dhoni came in and insisted on playing his unexplosive anchor style batting when Gambhir could hardly get more than singles

I agree with you elniro...the t20 was invented to be a big hitting more entertaining form of cricket....I dont care if a team gets bowled out for less than 100 as long as they have a go, if I want to watch teams playing 1s and 2s to open parts of the field then I will watch ODI but T20 should be swing that bat and see if you can get it out of the ground.

Well I'm enjoying the World Cup for sure, the atmosphere at the games has been electric regardless of some of the average batting displays. The fans have been going ballistic whether a single has been run or a big six hit over the top. A good tournament needs some upsets and it doesn't get better than the Kangaroo getting knocked out in the early stages. I'm chuffed to bits the cheating rats are out.

Some of the usual Big Hitting players have been true to form with the likes of Yuvraj and Gayle leading the way. I just hope that Dhoni makes it up with Sehwag as I would love for him to set the tournament on fire.

Here are some pics I've been taking at some of the games

It's a huge day for Pakistan today, after their woeful performance against England they will be lucky to qualify, after the atrocious behaviour of some of their fans during the tournament it wouldn't be a sorry farewell. Still I wish them the best of luck today, if they bat first and rack up 180+ runs they'll stand a good chance of a big victory which is a necessity if they are to further progress in the tournament.

The tournament is wide open, two big hitting batsmen along with two tight bowlers could be enough to win the competition, India, SA SL and the WI all have the necessary personnel so it's anyones guess who will win.

Well done England on making it through to the Super 8's, every tournament needs the home nation to progress as far as they can and hopefully with Freddy making a comeback the bast is yet to come from England.

Has anyone been going to the games?
