360 vs pS3 ???

After repairing so many 360's I went for the PS3, best £299 ive spent.
Call of duty 4 and world at war fantastic.
M$ you can stick the 360 up your asc!!.

blueray / divx player / free online gaming / solid and reliable.
 
i think the ps3 got off to a really bad start ...shame cos its a good bit of kit. but what it comes down to in the end is if your nipper has friends with ps3's.. mine asked us if we were going to get one and i said no as none of his mates had one so we would be the only ones with it and he would soon get bored of it...so we went down the xbox 360 route which has it problems and its merits but he plays it and its been money well spent ...if i though he would spend that kind of time on a ps3 i would get one....

The only thing that will limit the 360 is the size of the Dual Layer media. The PS3 wipes the floor with with the 360 regarding it's potential to store collosal amounts of game data, in the end THIS will be the key factor, not the hardware pumping out the polygons.

Games will have more graphical variety and offer higher resolution textures, simply because it has an abundance of storage on the BD.

The PS3 is shit, viva le Microsoft .

The last console Sony made that was worth a mention was the Playstation 1, superb machine, the PS2 like the PS3 are basking in the fame of an 11 year old console.

I was wondering when you would get in on this action.

If you look at it objectively you come down to one major point and that is the 360 is crap.

PS3 owners have a greater than average life expectancy and are more than likely to win small to medium size prizes on the national lottery.

Where as owning a 360 can lead to acne, an aversion to soap and an unprecendented amount of junk calls between the hours of 1800 and 2100 seven days a week.

Actually, I think if you took time to do some proper research, you'd have found the following facts, which you appear to have missed.

1. PS3 is a Stylish Grill.

2. It's true that PS3 owners do indeed live longer, but they are more prone to toothache, ingrown toe-nails and poor balance.

3. To date, 24 winners of the National Lottery Jackpot have either owned or have known someone that owns a Xbox 360, compared to a meagre 21 winners that have connections with the PS3 community. As you can see, the figures clearly show that the 360 is for Winners.

4. PS3 fanboys have been known to borrow money from friends and not pay it back, they tend to exaggerate the number of lovers they have had and can have adverse reactions to Vitimin C.

(I fully take onboard the points regarding soap and junk calls - one of the bains of a 360 fanboys life)

Sod it then, the 360 is gash and the average 360 owner goes through 7.56 consoles a week until the extended warranty expires.

i tend to stay away from the xbox shelves in shops/websites as green is just not my thing

also i cant stand the 360 remote

but i also like free things mate thats the only thing with the ps3 is the lack of modding facilities

you coming to my house for free? thats definitely different from your numerous previous visits, my cheque book is fucked because of you

I'm averaging a mere 5.22 consoles!

Red is my favourite colour, so it's a bonus.

Remote?

Do you mean the Controller? The 360 controller is now almost as small as the Sony one, it is infact far more comfortable to hold and access the buttons than the Sony one, it's simply a matter of getting used to the feel of it.

It'll not break the bank mate, just over £100 for a new machine, I'll do the techy stuff and show u how to get the free games, if you don't like it then flog it, but I know you'll not flog it, you'll be a convert, ;)

PS, you're chequebook wasn't the only thing that was fucked Tiger ;)

ii controller lol sorry wis looking at the tv when i was writing that lol

i find my hands fit round the pse controller perfectly, 360 controller just that bit bulky for me m80

the ps3 does me fine tight now

next gen games, high def playback, good heater and cooks a quick snakc or full meal without leaving the comfort of my computer chair :)

btw i have the sata card for modding the 360, just nothing to mod :(

Enjoying reading the banter in this topic, Just thought I'd throw my opinion in as I also own both machines...

The build quality of the xbox is rubbish I'm on my 3rd one. The Ps3 is solid. But its the Ps3 thats gathering dust in my house. Consoles are for gaming and for me the 360's online is a much better experince with your mates. Better chat, joining in games, messaging. The Ps3 is 2 years too late with home and thats whats ruined the ps3 for me. Excellent for films though and when my xboxs breaks again (and it will) If its not in warranty it won't be replaced. I'm sure in a year we'll all be ps3 as it will be head and shoulders above the xbox as the developers are still learning but until then It's Xbox all the way.........oh and a bit of wii here and there as Mario Kart rules..........
