Where did you buy your clone from ?

has anyone tried this site found it yesterday but dont know whether to trust it HLT (Shenzhen) Electronic Sales Department - dreambox, dm500s, dm500c

I bought mine via "Silica Tech Co., Ltd." on Alibaba.
The box was quickly delivered and worked perfectly.

Then, a month ago, I had a tuner issue :
- 1 chip felt !!!
- HD channels were hard to synch
- it was a Rev.J

I contacted back the seller and sent him back the tuner for repair (and also the internal fan that was much too loud).

He immediately sent me back :
- a brand new Rev.K tuner (with modified C1 Cap)
- a new fan

This is what I call...a great service

Of course...the tuner now worked ok for only...2 days.
But the fact is that he replaced it very quickly and...for free.

Got my DM800 box from linuxsat few weeks ago.
Box gets very very hot. It came included with heatsink and fan.
Fan sounds like plane taking off. Heat came from tuner, old version J.
Solved problem by removing small fan and fitting external HDD cooler.
Box is now cold.

Deliverd box would not boot, but fixed it by flashing NBH v.012.
Weird thing, when selecting shutdown from menu, next time I power
box on it hangs on 'Dream Multimedia'. So from now on I only use suspend mode.

Not very immpressed with quality of buld. Few times box froze on non-HD chanells. However, support from Linuxsat is realy good.
