Weird Graphics problem

These last 2 days my monitor has failed to initiate at resume from sleep. Only happens in the morning at the first wake up.
The monitor light will not go from amber (asleep) to blue (awake). I have to go into the monitor's menu and select either DP or HDMI.

Yesterday it worked when I changed it from DP to HDMI. This morning I had to change it back from HDMI to DP before I could get anything on the screen.

Struggling to work out what's changed in the past couple of days. There have been no updates installed for over a week.
Any suggestions?

What is the brand/model of monitor? Are you saying you have both HDMI and DP cables connected and swapped back and forth to get it working?

I would only use one cable and disable auto-detect to see if it works better.

Think it was an update it didn't like but seems to have worked itself out
